Pocket Schedule - Quick DIY

September 23rd, 2009 @ 10:26 am by Mrs. Apple Cider

This project started as a necessary project to keep everyone informed, and turned into something “too cute” not to include! I have been to weddings where people are confused about the schedule, don’t have important phone numbers, and don’t have addresses. I wanted to make sure that the wedding party and immediate family have all of the information. I thought a cute little pocket schedule might help!

I designed the layout in my handy dandy Microsoft Word and printed it on some cream paper that I have. This is the same paper that I used throughout the wedding suite. I then used a folding tool and made them accordion style.

It is business card sized so it can fit right in the wallets of our party! We are giving a handful to my parents and Mr. AC’s parents in case they want to share!

Did you create a schedule for the day?

Very cute! And I’m sure everyone will appreciate them — nothing’s worse than not knowing what’s happening next on the wedding day!

that was such a nifty idea….I know a more detailed schedule is something I would have done differently in retrospect.

I am heavily considering doing this! Thinking back about weddings I was in, the schedule does get confusing & everyone is asking the bride over and over what to do/where to go; what a pain! This avoids that!! SOOOO tempting!

This is genius! I’ve been to way too many weddings where people had no idea what was going on or where they had to be.

I did and it was one of the best things I did. I wish I had thought to make it cute and foldy but I just used a header I made really quick. Super cute idea.

Amazing! Thorough yet not overwhelming. And I love that they are wallet sized. I ended up with giving a boring old 8.5×11 semi-spreadsheet, ugly-esque thing to a few key people. They appreciated it and all was well, but these are much more fun!

Hey everyone!!!! I can definetly post a template but have to figure out how first!!! I did this in word on a regular 8.5×11 inch sheet. I created a table with 5 boxes all 2″ by 3.5″. I printed 2 to a sheet and then I cut them out leaving all of the boxes connected. I then just folded on the line! Hope that helps. Working on getting you guys a template!
