Miss Lamb, Norfolk Age and Occupation: 25, Homeland Security Consultant Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, Graduate Student Engagement Date: January 2009 Wedding Date: January 2010 Venue: Trinity Presbyterian Church/Harrison Opera House About Me: I’m a Homeland Security Consultant with a tendency towards pulling office pranks, taking lunch breaks, and drinking Wawa shakes. I’m also an English major with a serious obsession with alliteration and rhymes. While I’m not keeping America safe, I’m training for half marathons and the Escape from Alcatraz swim. Or moving for the third time this year. Or baking. Or wedding crafting. Or crying about wedding planning. All the while, I’m getting myself into Lucille Ball-esque scrapes and making Jim Carey-esque faces. Our big fat Czech/Baptist/Jewish/Italian wedding is a combination of vintage eclectic, DIY, and little spoonful of sugar from our Event Coordinator. It’s going to be a Norfolk flavored wedding with the verve of an only-daughter-blow-out bash!

Stinkin’ Cute and Perfect for Weddings

September 23rd, 2009 @ 11:27 am by Miss Lamb

If you’re in the mood to die from cute overload today, head on over to Jellybeans. The artist behind Jellybeans, Angela, creates these watercolor paintings full of whimsy and joy. Her main motif, the tree, is so symbolic for love and child rearing. It’s like a little colorful dose of “The Giving Tree.”

I couldn’t decide what to show you, so I made a collage of the love-themed trees:

Love+Tr

Top Row L-R: Forever and Always, A Spring of Love, Love Flourishes, Stand by Me
Bottom Row L-R: Romance is in the Air, All You Need is Love, Amour DArbre

Any one of these would be adorable as a guestbook/matted print. And check out the sweet daughter trees below!

Parent+

L-R: Daddy’s Little Girl, Mother’s Daughter

At $15 for a large print (and $8 for a small one!), these are delightfully affordable and thoughtful gifts. With a Michaels coupon in hand, you could easily mat and frame these darlings as gifts of appreciation for your parents. Below are two prints that I thought would easily translate into Save-the-Dates or Thank Yous:

Others+

R-L: Love Song, 2010 16 Month Desk Calendar

All images are sourced from Jellybeans Etsy Store.

These are adorable! I actually may order one of these prints for a friend who is expecting her first baby next month. The “mother’s daughter” would look so cute in her little girl’s room!

Ooh, I need some gifts for my shower hosts ASAP, I hadn’t thought of cute prints. Maybe I’ll head over to 20×200.

I think that one of the prints could work in the half bath in our new house! Great idea, Jessie, about giving them for a baby shower too!
