A while back, Mr. Parfait and I met with an amazing photographer from Nashville named hannahelaine. She was kind, talented, and an answer to many hopes and prayers! I wanted (yearned and ached for) engagement pictures but was having trouble convincing Mr. Parfait that it’s perfectly normal, and actually quite common, to take these shots. I wanted a fabulous photographer, but had no idea how to find one. Either divine providence or my addiction to Weddingbee led me to find her name in the ‘bee Classifieds!
We have a zillion pictures together, so I wanted our e-pix to be extraordinary! And thanks to hannahelaine, I believe they were.
Recognize the setting? We originally planned to take pictures around Millennium Park at the Bean, the bridge, and the Pavilion. We snapped some pictures there, but the chilly wind sent us indoors. All of the pictures above were taken at Navy Pier, where we found refuge from the cold and lots of great photo spots! Now, wherever we go, I spot places that would be perfect for a little photo shoot.
Where did you end up for your engagement photos? Did less than ideal weather force you to a different place?

LOve your dress, they turned out great!! Weather was gorgeous, maybe a little hot when we did ours. Waiting to get the email from our photog that they’re ready for viewing, Cant wait!
We ended up in a record store because the rain was not cooperating. They turned out awesome!

Awesome photos!!!! I just got my proofs yesterday. We did ours up in the mountains just outside my favorite town in Colorado.
these are so fabulous! we’re taking our e-pics in October - we’re waiting for the Texas heat to cool down! I’m really excited for them

I love the stained glass, and the trees. Was that one in the crystal gardens? I wanted to have our wedding there, but it’s WAY expensive, and we’re not “city people” anyway. They look great!
Love the 2nd and 4th but they are all great. My fi hates pictures fingers crossed he will cooperate for epics

love your pics! navy pier has so many cute places for pics. Hannahelaine also did our e-session, and we loved the pics and working with her so much she’s doing our wedding too. on our day it was upper 40’s/lower 50’s so i was freezing in a strapless dress but those outdoor lake shots were worth it!
