It’s All About the Bling

September 25th, 2009 @ 11:34 am by Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

Okay, so if you know me at all, you know that I am obsessed with Sex and the City, and therefore am in love with Sarah Jessica Parker (or SJP, as I like to call her). Well, this love for has SJP had me lusting after some very gorgeous earrings she wore in the Lovely perfume ad:

I knew that I couldn’t afford those, but I also knew that I needed to have them.

Well, lucky for me, Roberta Chiarella makes some gorgeous, inexpensive jewelry. Look at the exact match that I found!

They come in 3 different sizes, but I’m thinking I probably need the biggest for the wedding.

So, as I’m browsing the website I realize I can’t just look at earrings, I also need to look at necklaces. And I found some amazing ones, also courtesy of Roberta. However, these are a little more pricey, but still fun to look at.

This one looks like my engagement ring!

And the last 2 are super vintage-y to me. So I love them all. I’m not sure if I’ll even wear a necklace because I don’t want to take away from the dress, but it’s very possible.

Are you choosing one stunning piece of jewelry, or are you decking out your ears, wrists, and neck in bling?

See I am not usually a jewelry kind of gal. And my dress is strapless. But I think I might just do some earrings and a bracelet. Though now I am really tempted by those necklaces. Gorgeous!

My earrings will be big and dangly, and my wrists will be covered in bracelets, so I’m foregoing the necklace. I usually go the opposite–large pendant, stud earrings and just a watch on my wrist.

Aside from my rings (the e-ring & wedding band) the only other jewlery I plan on wearing are some fabulous drop earrings. Something that is really fabulous. I love the last necklace that you posted, it’s gorgeous.

I love those earrings - they make such a statement! And the replicas are perfect. This also makes me think of those jewelry rental companies that are out there now - might be worth looking into.

Tip for ya - I saw a really similar looking necklace to that first one at Macy’s - it was Givenchy and was $50. Might want to see if you can find it! It’s not the same, but quite similar. I considered wearing it for my own wedding.

I found earrings exactly like that for etsy! They are gorgeous in real life and match the shape of smaller crystals in my necklace

@Mrs. Mary Jane: Thanks MJ! Roberta earrings are so affordable, but the necklaces were more than I wanted to spend.

Wow, such gorgeous bling! My dress was a bit understated and simple, so all that shiny gorgeousness would have overwhelmed the gown — I oped for a pearl set, and loved it!

I haven’t figured out my jewelry yet but it will be minimal, at most…I might honestly wear nothing besides my e-ring and wedding band but if I do wear some, it will be earrings and will keep ‘em small and simple…These are all very pretty tho!

Those are great - and i DO love SJP… I’m still thinking of what I will wear jewelry-wise but I’m thinking a killer cocktail ring and then understated necklace / earrings - these could be a nice compromise :)
