Mrs. Frozen Yogurt's Picture
Mrs. Frozen Yogurt, Dallas Age and Occupation: 28, Special Projects Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Equity Trader Engagement Date: March 19, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: Marie Gabrielle, Dallas About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in several of the cities across the state, but I currently reside in Austin. I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.
About Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

Our Centerpieces

September 25th, 2009 @ 4:19 pm by Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

I am in the final stages of booking our florist and I couldn’t be more excited! Her name is Kristen and she’s with Haute Floral. I learned about her from my awesome photographer. Anyway, Kristen loves manzanita branches just like I do, which means that we will have them at the wedding!! AND, it won’t just be in one centerpiece, it will be in 5 (and the guestbook, but that’s for a later post)!

On these gorgeous branches we will put sevearal flowers including green orchids:

Our Centerpieces : wedding flowers Billybuttons1

1. Billy Balls, 2. craspedia billy button, 3. [Asteraceae] Craspedia maxgrayi Everett et Joy Thomps. 04.08.2004, 4. Craspedia pleiocephala, 5. Craspedia, 6. The faucet and backsplash, 7. Craspedia-Billy-button, 8. Yellow buds, 9. Yellow Ball Flowers

Roses, and then some other seasonal flowers.

Then, Kristen is going to do 5 more tables with trumpet vases and a lot of the flowers I mentioned previously, plus hydrangea. She also has great ideas for the bouquets and bouts. I’ll share those soon!

Do you love specific flowers that don’t come in your wedding colors? What are they, and what color do you wish they were?

I love orchids. You’re gonna have some great florals! My favorites are daffodils and tulips. Lucky for me, my favorite color is yellow…so i’m good!

Ooh, pretty. =) I’ll admit I’m not a fan of ranunculus, but billy buttons are so fun, and orchids are beautiful!

WoW, great idea. I wouldn’t have thought to put orchids with ranunculus and billy buttons. Were they your idea or the florists?
