Bouquet Holder Tags

September 28th, 2009 @ 5:42 pm by Mrs. Star

We are officially less than two weeks until the wedding and I am furiously turning out polka-dotted craft projects (you may have noticed that I’m hardly ever on the boards anymore — things are heating up around here!)!

The other night I took some vases I found at the dollar store, some ribbon I already had from other projects, and some leftover invitation cardstock and made:

Bouquet holders for my bridesmaids’ bouquets to serve double-duty as reception decor!

I used each of their Weddingbee nicknames instead of their actual first names, because I thought it would be cute. :)

Nothing fancy, but I think they’re cute and functional! I’m hoping to get a lot of worth out of our really expensive (but hopefully, gorgeous!) bouquets.

How are you wisely using your splurge items?

very cute miss star! my bestie had bouquet holders for us and they were so handy. at least we got to keep an eye on our bouquets and didn’t have to worry about setting them down on the tables to get lost!

My fiance and I went to a wedding this summer where the bouquets served as the head table decoration (and I was in one this weekend, too!) and that was one thing he noticed and specifically brought up to me! I figured, if he has a request for something as girly as flowers, I have GOT to honor it! It’s an adorable idea anyway and I loved it too.

I just looove the Dollar Store and Dollar Tree! Affordable and you can always find something to fix up for a special event. Dollar Tree has their own little Wedding decor section. Some cheesy stuff, but most of the stuff is a starter point for your DIY projects. These vases are great. Fabulous idea.

Aww, so cute, Miss Star! :D And very functional, indeed. By the way, as of last weekend, I’m now officially a fellow young-ish bride!

My bridesmaid bouquets are being used for the flowers for the head table and my florist gave us the vases for the head table free. The vases for all the other centerpieces are on loan from the florist that saved alot of money. Just something to thank about when meeting with florists.

Very cute!!! I’m using bouquet holders that attach to the front of a table, and having them help decorate the head table.

Cute! Have you made sure that the bouquets will fit in them? I tried it once with some cute glasses we had but the stem was too long for the glass and kept tilting over the makeshift vase!

I love that their Weddingbee nicknames are finding their way into your reception! Can you have someone at the venue make sure they’re filled with water before you arrive? Otherwise by the end of the night you might have some very wilted flowers on your hands!
