Ring Rockability

September 28th, 2009 @ 1:26 pm by Mrs. Lamb

I follow Offbeat Bride. And deep down, in my secret subconscious, I wish I had the guts to be more daring like many of the brides featured there.

In absence of my courage, I live vicariously through the posts and randomly bookmark rockable wedding items, just in case I throw this whole big traditional thing out the window.

Here’s a sampling of rings I have in my favorites on Etsy:

Sea Babe Jewelry’s Rough Diamond Set

Ring Rockability : wedding rings Il 430x079

Hawaii Titanium’s Ring Style W1F:

Ring Rockability : wedding rings Il 430x080

And last but not least, my current favorite - 51 Degrees North’s Wedding Bands:

Ring Rockability : wedding rings Il 430x081

Have you thought about incorporating daring items into your wedding? Or is your whole wedding daring?

Wow, the rough diamonds are so unique! We didn’t really do anything *daring* but I’d like to think we had a few less traditional elements incorporated into our reception :-)

I dunno - that last one could be kind of inappropriate as a 24-7 wedding band …

I love that last set of wedding bands! That’s really fun! And the first set is really gorgeous - it’s hard to meet a nice happy medium between off the wall and traditional and many of the brides on OBB do such a great job of it!

I love love the rough diamond set. I don’t think it’d to well with my E-ring, though. Maybe for a right-hand ring??

We got matching rings from http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=102845

They are wood and titanium, and were fabulous craftmanship!

It’s so funny, I love super unique rings and had quite the collection before the e-ring. Once engaged, I haven’t worn anything but the e-ring & my fantastic and creative rings just sit on a shelf. My E-ring is super unique so unsure how unique I can go for a wedding band since we don’t want competition.

Love OBB! I too have the occasional craving to throw everything to the wind and rock the outrageous! (But then my sensible side regains a semblance of control…) sigh

I do the same exact thing. I have the “If I had the huevos to wear this” section of tagged things in my reader. I wish I could have a few weddings- formal and classic, casual, and balls-to-the-wall bananas wedding. I think ours will end up being a lovechild of classic and balls-to-the-wall bananas. Or so I hope. :p
