Mrs. Lamb, Norfolk Age and Occupation: 25, Homeland Security Consultant Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, Graduate Student Engagement Date: January 2009 Wedding Date: January 2010 Venue: Trinity Presbyterian Church/Harrison Opera House About Me: I’m a Homeland Security Consultant with a tendency towards pulling office pranks, taking lunch breaks, and drinking Wawa shakes. I’m also an English major with a serious obsession with alliteration and rhymes. While I’m not keeping America safe, I’m training for half marathons and the Escape from Alcatraz swim. Or moving for the third time this year. Or baking. Or wedding crafting. Or crying about wedding planning. All the while, I’m getting myself into Lucille Ball-esque scrapes and making Jim Carey-esque faces. Our big fat Czech/Baptist/Jewish/Italian wedding is a combination of vintage eclectic, DIY, and little spoonful of sugar from our Event Coordinator. It’s going to be a Norfolk flavored wedding with the verve of an only-daughter-blow-out bash!
About Mrs. Lamb

ATTN: Brides on the Cheap, Err, I Mean Chic : wedding decor diy Logo8

One of my friends has a great blog about being a domestic goddess. The Part-Time Happy Homemaker gives great tips, recipes, and some how-tos.

I routinely catch up on the site on Mondays, and a few weeks ago, I think I hit a wedding jackpot! Check out this post and tell me you didn’t just think, ‘WEDDING!’

ATTN: Brides on the Cheap, Err, I Mean Chic : wedding decor diy 413jssk

Now, don’t go buying them out. I want to get two, one for me and one for mom. But seriously, can’t you envision the lemons and limes for an awesome summer tablescape, piled on a white milk glass centerpieces? Or what about awesome little pumpkins for the fall?

Are any of your centerpieces featuring fruit? Were you thinking of incorporating candles, as well?

Wow, these are great and very creative! For our wedding, we will be using flowers for our centre pieces. We will also try to incorporate some candles as well.

Oh, so cute! I bet adding a candle to most fruits would smell amazing, too!

@Lillindy: If you google “candle carver” you can find them elsewhere!

I think I may just have to buy one of these. Tiny pumpkin candles would be cuuute at our Hallowedding!

Lambie, I love you! If you were not engaged already I would propose!

I’ve been looking for an easy way of doing this. I used apples as candle holders for christmas before but only with long tapered candles. Wasn’t sure how to do it with tealights and other fruits though. Lemon- lime centerpieces here I come!

Here’s another link for them on Amazon - a few different sellers sell them:

Oh! I used all lemonds and limes as my centerpieces, but never thought about putting candles in the mix! I may have to try and get my hands on one in time for our Halloween partay!
