We’re always working to improve your Weddingbee experience, and wanted to run a few new features by you all!

Launching the wider blog format was a huge improvement—the larger pictures and wider format provide a more visual experience. We hoped to carry that over to the other sections of the site! The bios and DIY sections you’ve gotten used to have looked like this:

Reader Miss Sakura posted a great idea for us last month, requesting that Weddingbee’s DIY section be more visual. It was a great idea! So we’ve incorporated it in both DIY and bios. The proposed redesign features thumbnails from each bio section or DIY entry:

If the entry doesn’t feature a picture, the default bio or DIY icons show up. We’ve made this proposed new design live, so click on over to the bios and DIY sections to see them in action!

We’re also looking to carry this larger preview image format over to the Gallery and the PRO Folio. Previously, there were 12 thumbnail images per page, with 3 images per row. Now, the images are larger, with 2 images per row, but still 12 images per page. In the previous design, images were cropped to fit the preview box width, so if you had uploaded a portrait image, you’d have seen this:

The new larger format accommodates entire images, so they are sized to the box, rather than cropped, giving you a clearer view of the image:
