Miss Lamb's Picture
Miss Lamb, Norfolk Age and Occupation: 25, Homeland Security Consultant Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, Graduate Student Engagement Date: January 2009 Wedding Date: January 2010 Venue: Trinity Presbyterian Church/Harrison Opera House About Me: I’m a Homeland Security Consultant with a tendency towards pulling office pranks, taking lunch breaks, and drinking Wawa shakes. I’m also an English major with a serious obsession with alliteration and rhymes. While I’m not keeping America safe, I’m training for half marathons and the Escape from Alcatraz swim. Or moving for the third time this year. Or baking. Or wedding crafting. Or crying about wedding planning. All the while, I’m getting myself into Lucille Ball-esque scrapes and making Jim Carey-esque faces. Our big fat Czech/Baptist/Jewish/Italian wedding is a combination of vintage eclectic, DIY, and little spoonful of sugar from our Event Coordinator. It’s going to be a Norfolk flavored wedding with the verve of an only-daughter-blow-out bash!

Our Heroine Makes a Choice

September 30th, 2009 @ 4:17 pm by Miss Lamb

You may remember that I left our heroine under a spell of self-doubt and inability to make a choice. I am obliged to tell you that there is a happy ending.

Our heroine built her courage and returned the darling pearl shoes, setting her heart on the gorgeous shoes.

She is happy to report that her J.Crew Mary Janes were bought on eBay, and with shipping cost, a mere $34.94. The attached shoe clips, which make all the difference, were purchased on Etsy for a total of $12.00, bringing the grand total to a magical price of $46.94. Not too shabby!

Sadly, there is a twist of fate in her fairy tale, the story is not yet over.

The lovely vintage dress she envisioned wearing to her rehearsal dinner has been snatched up and she must trudge on in her endeavors.

Have you been facing resolutions on one front, just to turn around and face more challenges?

Your shoes look worthy of a princess. I am glad you picked the shoes that you truly loved.

I must say that I fell in love with the pearl flats. After looking all over the internet for them I came to the unfortunate conclusion that they are no longer available.

Don’t give up on the dress just yet! Email the seller and ask if she can make another… she just might!

I love your vintage-chic shoes… so fab!

Gorgeous shoes! It is a shame they will be hiding under the dress. ;)
