Mrs. Espresso's Picture
Mrs. Espresso, Corona/Big Bear Age and Occupation: 23, Community Services Specialist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 22, Maintenance Technician Engagement Date: December 21, 2007 Wedding Date: October, 2008 Blogging Since: June 25, 2008 Venue: Outside a rustic b&b in Big Bear Lake About Me: I'm a lover of all things good: coffee, music, travel, rain, and of course- my handsome fiance! I'm a full believer in the "Life is Short," mantra - and therefore, eat lots of dark chocolate. I'm a Geographer by degree and nerd by choice. I cook to the sound of French and Portuguese music even though I speak neither. I love road trips, camping, hiking, and capturing life through the lens of my camera. Take me to Anthropologie and I may never leave. I'm a sucker for pretty packaging, bargain finds, and old movies. Mr. Espresso and I are high school sweethearts and I am so blessed to be this amazing man's future wife.
About Mrs. Espresso

They come few and far between. Those moments when your family and friends are healthy… happy. When you can see everything in life for the blessing that it is, rather than the job, errand, or line on the To Do list that’s calling. When life is, in its purest form, good.

This was one of those moments.

I’m so in love with this man!

Weekend Mountain Wedding: an Abandoned House and an Open Field : wedding pictures pro pics recap 51 5

Our photographers were drawn to this house for our pictures. We would have never taken pictures in the field, otherwise. We were just driving down the road looking for anything that caught our eye, and gave us inspiration. And that’s when we stumbled across her—vacant and boarded up. So we decided to give her some love and play house in the front.

Being intimate in front of a photographer can be daunting. I know that during our engagement session I felt awkward 99% of the time. Passerbyers looking at me. Lens up in my face. I was making faces I didn’t even know existed… and not in a good way. :) But on the day of our wedding, it didn’t matter anymore. I was only focused on my new husband, and I felt so incredibly peaceful…

let me just say, your eyebrows are fantastic. random, i know, but i’m a make-up artist and am obsessed with other people’s eyebrows, it’s one of the first things i notice. :)

You look amazing, and so focused on your hubby! I like the abandoned house, abandoned buildings always add really nice contrast to dressy photos.

Beautiful! And I agree — I felt awkward and like our engagement session was “forced fun.” (Even my kisses look bizarre, like I was puckering my lips too much or scared to have my mouth open even a centimeter!) But on the wedding day, I don’t remember having any confidence or shyness issues — and I really hope our photos reflect this! :-)

Gorgeous!! As always! you can definitely see the emotion in the pictures and it’s amazing. I too felt awkward with the e-pics. Let’s hope I don’t for the wedding!
