Hear ye! Hear ye!
In what was the most momentous week of my life - other than the week I was born - my wooly counterpart and I secured a wedding venue and bought a house.

The stress building up to the week was intense. We found the house and pushed through our loan documentation to close in less than 3 weeks. Our search for a venue had stretched over 6 months. I remember feeling a distinct weight being lifted off of my shoulders.

OH I AM SO JEALOUS! We have been in the house purchase process for 3 months and counting. It’s a short sale, and everytime we turn around they are telling us we have to wait longer! It’s agonizing; too much stress for words! Come to think of it, our wedding venue search took 3 months too…maybe that’s just our timeframe for everything? Congrats!

Congrats! The house is beautiful and so is the venue. My FI and I just purchased a house as well! We sign the final paperwork on Monday. I know the feeling of stress! Thank goodness it’s over now

Thanks bees! Our venue is great, it was just a really long road getting there. Our house WILL BE cute . . . LOL. It’s a fixer upper for sure, but we’re making strides so that it’s move in ready when I move down after the wedding

Congrats! Your house is so cute and the venue is gorgeous. I remember feeling such relief when we FINALLY found a venue, too. It seemed like it took forver. But now you can get to the rest of the really fun stuff.

I moved in with FI about 2 months into planning, so luckily not much had been done other than budget talks and vendor searches…I’m glad that we did it then and not now, closer to the wedding!

Oh my goodness Ms. Lamb! We closed on our house in the 757 on September 15th. I’m so glad it was at the beginning of planning (7 months out) instead of at the end, or I would have gone crazy Congratulations, and I’m incredibly jealous of your venue. It’s beautiful and so close to everything downtown!

Great venue, that’s fantastic! Congrats on the house! Yes, I know exactly what you are going through. I’m going to move into my fiance’s house soon & sell my condo. Then we’ll sell his house and try to find a house together….all while planning a wedding…..FUN!

I have been planning my wedding AND getting ready to move several states away (leaving GA in 3 weeks! ack!)… The stress is killing me–BUT I know everything will work out—just as it has for you! Enjoy your new home and the planning at your gorgeous venue

Your house looks adorable! We haven’t started looking yet, but my fiance and I are going to be moving a couple of months after we get married. That means searching for homes in the Spring and getting married in the fall! It’s all very exciting but overwhelming at the same time.
Congratulations! We bought our house in July, he moved in August, we got married September 5, and I moved September 11. It was a whirlwind, but looking back on it…. I may not say I would do it again, but it made us a stronger team, and isn’t that part of what this whole journey is about?
Wow, congratulations! I can’t imagine doing all of those things at the same time! We’re not buying a house for another couple of years, so we didn’t have that added stress on top of the wedding planning.
Yay for all of the good news. We’re 6 weeks into the wedding planning, 5 months from putting our current home on the market, and 10 months from the wedding. It won’t be easy, but you’ve shown it can be done!
Hehe, as soon as we can afford to put 20% down (FI works at Chase in the Foreclosure dept) we will be getting a house. Hopefully soon!

Or moving for the third time this year. Or baking. Or wedding crafting. Or crying about wedding planning. All the while, I’m getting myself into Lucille Ball-esque scrapes and making Jim Carey-esque faces. Our big fat Czech/Baptist/Jewish/Italian wedding is a combination of vintage eclectic, DIY, and little spoonful of sugar from our Event Coordinator.
