Mrs. Frozen Yogurt, Dallas Age and Occupation: 28, Special Projects Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Equity Trader Engagement Date: March 19, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: Marie Gabrielle, Dallas About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in several of the cities across the state, but I currently reside in Austin. I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.

Wordle

October 6th, 2009 @ 1:16 pm by Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

Have you heard of Wordle? I never had until Friday of last week. My good friend Ashley sent me a link to this wonderful website and let’s just say I didn’t get a lot accomplished after I discovered it. You can make the coolest word designs, and if I hadn’t just put together our save the dates, I probably would have incorporated one of my Wordle documents.

Take a look:

Wordle : wedding stationery Wordle wordle

Wordle : wedding stationery Wordle2 wordle2

You can change the layout, colors, and direction of the text, and then customize this to use in any way you want.

Do you think you’ll use Wordle for any of your paper products?

Mrs. Lovebug posted something about this back in the day, but I had forgotten what the site was. I think it’s a really cute gift or card idea, and want to find a way to use it somehow. Thanks for posting this!

I used this site to create a cd cover using our marriage vows. I made a cd using songs from our wedding/reception and gave it to my husband as a little extra wedding day gift.

FUN! This could make a cool boarder effect for our “what to do while you wait for the reception” guides.

I’d love to use it for a Thank You card cover. It’d be fun to use the Gocco and do two different colors. Hmm…ideas are forming. ;)

It would be such a fun thank you card! We’re bringing in an international theme so it’d be fun to have thank you in different languages.
Thanks for the links!

We’re using wordle for our STDs. Going to have Vista Print do oversized post cards (but first we have to make the image bigger so it’ll fill the whole card.

YAY word clouds. :) I used this to create a print for our 2 year dating anniversary and it was pretty awesome.

Plus I get to use these all the time at work to graphically display data for some of our more visual learners.

we wordled our guest book!!! i made the design, and kept refreshing and resetting the colors and whatnot until i got one i liked…

once i’d saved it, i got it printed as a poster (for free!!) from vistaprint, and then we mounted it on black matting in a giant silver frame. people will sign it with silver sharpie, and we’ll hang it over our loveseat upstairs!

i HEART wordle =)

I used this to create cute cards for our girls! I bought a double picture frame, and put a 5×7 of me with her on the left and a wordle of our inside jokes, names, important things in our lives, on the right!
