Mrs. Frozen Yogurt's Picture
Mrs. Frozen Yogurt, Dallas Age and Occupation: 28, Special Projects Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Equity Trader Engagement Date: March 19, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: Marie Gabrielle, Dallas About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in several of the cities across the state, but I currently reside in Austin. I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.
About Mrs. Frozen Yogurt

Remember this inspiration bouquet?

Remember This Inspiration Bouquet? : wedding accessories flowers 14 typewriter bouquet

That is Mrs. Lovebug’s actual bouquet and it was also part of my inspiration board. Keeping with my modern yet vintage theme, I thought it would look great with my flowers, too! So I’ve been scouring the usual places one might acquire typewriter letters––eBay and the flea market. Well, sometime last week I bid yet again on eBay, and this time I hoped I would actually win but stay within my budget.

Just a short 2 hours later it was confirmed, and I had won for only $10!! And I got the whole set!

Look how great the LOVE letters look:

I have no idea what I will do with any of the other letters, but I’m keeping them just in case. Maybe a “G” for Mr. Fro Yo’s boutonniere?

Can you think of any other ways I can incorporate the remaining typewriter letters and numbers in the wedding?

Yeah love the G in the bout… maybe with the remainder letters you can use the Bridesmaid initials on their bouquets? That’s if nobody has any repeat letters…

i like gator’s idea. and using the remaining letters in the bouts. how about charms for the bms? that is, if they all have different initials.

They would make some pretty cute cufflinks!! But they’re going to look amazing on your bouquet, and it’s cute in his bout as well.

I did the same thing with my bouquet, and am using the extra letters for the bridesmaid bouquets, my one friend has two M’s as her initials, my fiance gave me a hard time when I stated that we had miraculously been sent to “m”s before he explained I had an M and a W :) Bridebrain perhaps?

I never saw Lovebug’s bouquet!! But i am using a “P” typewriter key as my something old on my bouquet… I got the idea because we both have tattoos that are in typewriter font. I also got the Mr. some cufflinks made of them too. So obviously, I love this idea!

That is so adorable!

I saw a typewriter wedding in Martha Stewart once. Instead of a guestbook they had guests type up their messages on an old typewriter & each escort card was held down by a typewriter key…. :)

So cute! I don’t see much here that hasn’t been mentioned (I was thinking cufflinks, too) but I really love the bout idea!

Oh how I love that! Could you use them for your monogram(s) somewhere? Stick ‘em on a cupcake?

What about making push pins out of them and using them to hold down photos of the two of you to a cork board? Or attach them to drink stirrers and use them to mix cocktails if you’re having a bar or coffee station? Attach them to toothpicks and stick them in your cake…maybe turn them into bracelets? I do love the idea of blowing up pictures of them and using them as table numbers!

I was thinking cufflinks, too or even tuxedo buttons. I like the push pin idea, too. How bout embedding them in an ice sculpture bowl of frozen yogurt?

totally was going to say cufflinks. OR you could have the florist incorporate 1-2 letters into mr. froyo’s bout?

Hmmm…maybe turn them into magnets, and have a magnetic guest book message board where people can leave notes on little pieces of paper? Sorry, trying to think of something unique!

Oh, and just a side note, that’s not really Mr. Fro Yo’s bout, I just grabbed a succulent I had around so the “G” would stand out more.
