Miss Frozen Yogurt's Picture
Miss Frozen Yogurt, Dallas Age and Occupation: 28, Special Projects Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Equity Trader Engagement Date: March 19, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: Marie Gabrielle, Dallas About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in several of the cities across the state, but I currently reside in Austin. I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.

Rehearsal Dinner Invite

October 8th, 2009 @ 5:08 pm by Miss Frozen Yogurt

I know we still have a considerable amount of time before we need to consider our rehearsal dinner invites, but I always hear about brides stressing at the last minute and wishing they started some of their projects earlier. So why not the rehearsal dinner invites? I mean, it’s not like I have no idea what we’re doing for our actual wedding invites (actually, I have no idea what we’re doing; I’ve changed my mind a thousand times, and I guess I’m just trying to put off thinking about it. Ahh, you like that denial?). So here’s my inspiration for the rehearsal invites:

(Okay, I know that’s for a save the date, but the template is free here, and I could update it to make it suitable for a rehearsal dinner.)

But maybe instead of lantern lights on the 3rd one, I could use an image with banners (because our rehearsal dinner is at a Mexican restaurant) like this:

I’m thinking a little from number one, and a little from number three. I love that dot font from the first one, and want to try to incorporate it.

So what do you think?? Which would you choose, and which do you think I can actually pull off?

We’re also having our rehearsal dinner at a Mexican restaurant (yay for El Fenix!) and I am in love with the adorable banners! There was a picture of a wedding cake making the rounds a while back that had miniature sugar banner decorations, I loved it! I would definitely go for something cute and fun for the rehearsal dinner. Also, go you with the DIY attitude!

Ugh, I love everything that Heather (I think?) of wemetinabar did for her wedding, especially her paper goods. Love.

The third one feels NYC to me, I think it’s because of that curly font. Are you going to make these or plan on purchasing??

@corrc7131: I wish I could take credit for that first one, but fifty is right, it’s from heather via wemetinabar.com
@Honeybird: thanks! I’m seriously trying. It saves a lot of money if I can actually design and print myself and for some things like the STD and the rehearsal invite that are more informal, it’s so worth it!
@Yesenia:Ok those are adorable and are definitely going to be my inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing!!
@Miss_Carmel: I think I’m going to attempt to make them. I actually thought of sewing the little banners up top (ok, so momma fro yo will sew), and I’ll just do the type and printing. :)

I’m with Bru, I like the first one. It’s simple, yet interesting and punchy. And I think it’s do-able!

you must do the banners.. and sew them on like you are thinking… that would be a mexican party I’d definately want to be at (not that I need an awesome invite to go eat Mexican food!)

If you make the third one, and sew it, I might wee myself. Um okay, shutting up now and trying to find an excuse to throw a fiesta before Cinco De Mayo!

I think they’re all cute, but I like doing something with the Mexican theme like you suggested!

The dot font is so cute! I think you could easily pull off a combo of the first and last ones with more of a fiesta feel. Go for it!
