About Mrs. Joey

After Mr. Joey and I got a little something in our bellies and Jess got all his detail shots, it was finally time for the first look.

I wasn’t nervous because we were getting married and making a lifetime commitment (who would be nervous about that?), I was nervous because Mr. Joey had heard so much about the dress, seen the shoes and little accessories, but hadn’t seen them all together. I guess I wasn’t nervous; I was excited to show him everything.

Aww… there we go. I think I’m whispering, “we’re almost done,” in his ear.

We did the first look because we had to. We weren’t sure we’d have time between the ceremony and the reception for pictures. I’m glad we did it this way. I felt more relaxed about the ceremony after this.

Are you doing a first look? Why or why not?

We are but i didn’t want to! LOL..Since we are doing a outside garden wedding and reception at same place it was suggested that we do pictures before the ceremony. Since we live together I wanted to have some kind of “tradition” but I was out voted LOL

We did the first look pre-ceremony, as well. In all honesty, I think pre-ceremony is the most intimate way to do the “first look” moment.

Plus you’re right, you get a lot more time to get fabulous photos. =)

You looked amazing!! The shoes are awesome! We also did our first look pre-ceremony so we could get all of our photos in with the wedding party. Hubby kept thinking “first look” seemed like some hunting game so that became his joke.

Originally, I was absolutely, positively, 100% OPPOSED to the idea of doing a first look. And then, it hit me - our loved ones are coming in from all over the country for our wedding. And every moment we spend in between our ceremony and reception taking pictures is time that we don’t get to spend with those people. I want to enjoy our cocktail hour and talk to our guests as much as possible, so we’re doing all of our posed pictures before the ceremony, taking a couple of minutes to stare at each other and go “we’re married!” after the ceremony, and then traipsing off to hang with our guests.

Awesome set of shots! :) Very cute. I think we’re going to do a first look — we’d love to mingle at cocktail hour rather than do a receiving line.

*tear* you look so pretty! What a nice moment between the 2 of us… I’m definitely going to do a first look shoot. I wasn’t going too, but seeing all the bee’s 1st shots has convinced me :)

You look adorable! Aww :)

I had almost talked myself into the idea of a first look, when my fiance said, “WHAT?!? I can’t see you before the wedding!! It’s JUST WRONG!” Ahh, the silly things that matter to them ;)

I love the idea of a first look… never heard of it until I read WB! I love your dress; it is so modern and yet classic… beautiful!

We aren’t, although I thought it was a nice idea. I have seen it done in other weddings that I have been a part of. Alas, Mr. Mojito immediately shot that idea down. :-)
