I Love a Good Blow… Out!

October 13th, 2009 @ 11:06 am by Mrs. Gloss

This weekend was supposed to be my PWC (post wedding chop) weekend, and I was VERY ready. I was Google image searching ALL Friday for ’short curly hair’ knowing that I was ready for a big change (which doesn’t happen that often). After venting my frustration about only finding decaying pictures from the ’80s and early ’90s - Mrs. Cupcake confirmed my fear that there are no cute short haircuts for CHG (curly hair girls). But, ugh - I was SO ready for that change. I though about changing the color, but I’m way to lazy to maintain something like that.

I Love a Good Blow... Out! : wedding hair Ppwc001

So, I ended up with a PPWC: a ’PARTIAL post-wedding chop’ and an awesome blow out (not always the case for us curly haired girls!). While not a total change, my hair feels SO much healthier!

Did anyone else not do the big PWC?

I’m not going to do it. My fiance *loves* long hair, and I think it would make him very, very sad if I waited until right after we got married to cut it all off.

It looks super cute!! I don’t think I will cut my hair either. I too am a curly haired girl, though you almost never see it that way. I still like the curly option and if I cut it, it is not a good look when curly.

Very cute!!! :) I don’t know if I’m going to cut mine, either. I have always had it chin length or shoulder length, and now that it’s finally growing out (my hair takes forever to grow), I’m kind of liking the versatility of it. We’ll see, though.

I don’t think I’m going to either! I am also a CHG, and attractive is not a word I would use to describe my hair short and curly. :)

Your hair looks so cute! I have really curly hair so I know how you feel about finding a cute short cut. I don’t think I’m going to do a post wedding chop though. I’ve had way too many bad haircuts! haha

Your hair looks really great! It took me a little while, but once I finally got around to it, I cut about 5 inches off my hair! I basically went back to my pre-engagement length.

Love the PPWC! I did the PWC and the stylist kept asking “Are you sure?” which did not help me from being nervous about it!

You’re hair looks super cute! But I must say, as a girl with short curly hair, yes there ARE cute short hair cuts for girls with curly hair. My hair (curly) is just at my shoulders right now, but that’s only because I’ve been growing it out for the wedding. The trick is finding a great stylist who knows how to work with curly hair. Another trick, serious layers. If you’re still interested in seeing some short curly cuts, PM me and I’ll send you some pics. I can’t log in at work, but my “guest” name is the same as my registered name.

I haven’t gotten married, but i’m a CHG…hehe.

Yes, the shorter I cut it, the bigger the pouf…but if tamed, it can look damn sexy. So your hubby is wrong. If you want to do it, it might turn out awesome!

It looks adorable! I’m going to PWC, but I don’t think I’ll go mega-short. A nice, healthy trim may be all I need!

Hey, if a full chop is not you, it’s not you. Your hair looks lovely.

Your hair look so shiny and pretty! I didn’t do a PWC–I’m still growing my hair out, in fact! I’m loving it long.

As a fellow CHG who regularly blows it out, I just got my hands on the InStyler and love it! Takes a time or two in order to get the hang of it but its great and it helps keep my hair soft (along with leave in conditioning spray by John Freida every time I wash my hair).

Also, Redken has the BEST curly hair products! In the green bottles :)

So cute!!!

I havent’ posted pictures of my PWC yet ’cause I haven’t taken a picture I’ve liked yet :) Except for the back of my head, but I assume at some point, people might want to see my face.
