I am very wary of non-re-wearable, uncomfortable bridesmaids’ dresses. I wouldn’t want to wear them, and I don’t want my bridal party to wear them! So far, I know their dresses will be floor-length. I’m not sure what they’ll be like in terms of color, style, or fabric, but I do hope their dresses will be:
Here’s some floor-length inspiration to get me and my ladies started:
Soft, feminine, flowy dresses. They’re perfect! I even love the color, though it may not work with all skin tones. These dresses are by Laundry for Bloomingdale’s, but I can’t find them on the Bloomies’ website anymore.
I always say no to green clothing, but these earthy green dresses may be the only exception! The wedding dress is so romantic, and the b-maid dresses echo the romance a bit more softly. Rachel Bilson co-designed these bridesmaids dresses with Brian Reyes. I love the softness and the long sashes in the back.
My bridesmaids are a bright and beautiful bunch. They’re also a not-very-tall bunch, ranging from about 5′ to 5′3″, which made me wonder if long dresses were such a good idea. However, Rachel Bilson is only 5′1″ (so says my Google search) and proves that even tiny girls can work floor-length styles!

Okay, so the color green won some points with me today. I’m impressed by how feminine and sweet it can look. Of course, I’d still love to see these green dresses in muted shades of pink!
What are your priorities when looking for dresses for your b-party? Were you drawn to a certain length or color during your search?
