Okay, so long before I knew what type of dress I was going to wear, I knew that I wanted a mantilla veil. I just hoped that whatever dress I chose would go with said veil because I was in love and totally unwilling to give it up. So the search for the perfect veil began… and then I learned that mantilla veils can be really expensive. I wasn’t about to give up though. I knew I could find one in my price range eventually. I finally searched Etsy and came across a gorgeous veil:
But for some reason I just couldn’t buy it then. I searched and searched for other veils, but I always came back to Lena Lena Design Studio on Etsy. Well, recently she had some of her veils on sale and I thought, ‘OK now is the time.’
I placed an order earlier this week and it’s already here!! I couldn’t wait to tear open the package. Here is what I saw:
And then, of course, I had to try it on. It doesn’t have a clip attached (I need to have it sewn in), so I had to use a bobby pin to hold it in place, which was a little difficult, but what do you think?
I love it! And I am so excited to try it on with my dress when it actually arrives sometime in November. Thankfully, I think the dress and the veil will look wonderful together.

Beautiful, I love it! I too had already chosen my veil first before even going dress shopping. I had decided a while ago that I wanted to wear the same veil my Mom wore. So we brought it with us to the bridal salon and found a dress that goes perfectly with it!
@pvaulter718: Thanks! I’m thinking it will be my rehearsal dinner dress, but we all know that i like to shop, so I might find something else too! That dress is by Cynthia Steffe. I searched and searched for pictures online to try and send you the link and I can’t find it! I got it on super discount at Neiman’s last call.

haha yeah fell in love with the price. i got my cathedral length veil for $6. turned out gorgeous. yaay for steals.
Love the lace. My mother recently suggested that I wear the veil she wore on her wedding day. I haven’t seen it yet but I love the idea of it. If it doesn’t work we may rework it with lace or use it on my flowers.
On a side note I also love the wall color behind you.
yup! i really really want a mantilla veil as well! i’m hoping the dress i ultimately pick is one that goes well with one!
I fell in love with my mantilla veil when I bought my first dress, which I was NOT in love with. I’ve now finally settled on a different dress, but haven’t tried it on with the veil yet. I’m hoping it’ll work, but I’m not sure yet!! Yours is beautiful
