My last color entry was left with a lot a confusion and a big ol’ question mark. All I knew at that point was that I wanted pink. Not too much, not too little, but it had to be in there somewhere. As far as the other colors, I was clueless. That was until one night while perusing the ’bee, and I stumbled upon this little gem posted by Mrs. Cherry Pie: Multicolr. WOW. Whoever invented that can hereby stake claim to my firstborn child. It is one genius of a program. After playing around for an hour (or fifteen), my color combinations brought me to these pictures:
They stopped me dead in my tracks. “Uhm… hi, purple. Nice to meet you. WHERE have you been all my life?! It doesn’t matter, you’re here now and I love you, unconditionally.” And so it was, I was sold. No particular color: just pinks, purples, and greys—I want ’em all. Then recently, I came across what I think is the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen:
There it was, staring me right in the face. It was that perfect dash of “Alice” that I needed. First I died, then I added bit of light dusty aqua into our color scheme. So here it is, our super mondo-huge gradient color palette (I guess this is one more reason I’m Miss Rainbow):

Don’t be too dissapointed when you hear this: This was a staged event, not a real wedding. So if you can’t achieve this level of perfection, don’t worry. (At least that is what I told myself when I stumbled upon the SAME pictures and thought the EXACT SAME THING!). So tricky, that Southern Bride magazine. But isn’t it gorgeous? Swoon, swoon…

I love that wedding as well! I found it on stylemepretty and fell in love. I’ve been trying to explain to everyone that exact style.
i had picked out some colors and when i saw them used in a pottery barn catalog i knew i was on the right track!
That palette is SO soft and beautiful. And that hot air balloon motif is FANTASTIC!
As I read this post and saw those pictures I became insanely jealous, so beautiful so clever, so expertly executed…. it is indeed swoon-worthy. Even as a staged event it can be recreated and I wish you the best of luck in incorporating aspects of it into your wedding! Gosh there is just too much loveliness on the web to ever keep a girl content
