Miss Frozen Yogurt's Picture
Miss Frozen Yogurt, Dallas Age and Occupation: 28, Special Projects Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Equity Trader Engagement Date: March 19, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2010 Venue: Marie Gabrielle, Dallas About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in several of the cities across the state, but I currently reside in Austin. I went to college in Boston and have a special place in my heart for the Northeast. I love reading, shopping, wine, reuniting with college friends that are scattered across the country, reality TV, trying out new recipes, and attempting all the DIY projects that come along with wedding planning. I'm a "bleeding heart, save the world type" and thankfully my job allows me to work on legislation and policy to help out those in need. I met Mr. Frozen Yogurt in a bar, though he doesn't even drink! And now we are planning a modern yet vintage wedding in Dallas while dealing with the trials and tribulations of first time homeownership.

I Heart Paloma’s Nest

October 26th, 2009 @ 1:40 pm by Miss Frozen Yogurt

Woo hoo!! I got a very exciting package in the mail this past weekend! I ordered way too many things last week (stamps, ink pads, Halloween costume, out of town guests bags, and the list goes on and on), so every day was like Christmas at my mailbox. I’m still waiting on a lot of those items, but I got one item I’ve been waiting on for the past couple weeks. It was our ring bearer bowls from Paloma’s Nest!!

Before I even knew who our ring bearers were, I knew I wanted one of these bowls. And then once I asked two sweet little boys to be in the wedding, I had to get two of them. This was really great because I was having a hard time deciding on just one phrase to put in them. Finally I decided on two great phrases, but for budget reasons I went with one custom bowl and one pre-existing.

So, on to the fun part: the pictures! Here’s what it looked like when I opened up the package:

And then I opened those up as quickly as I could and saw this:

p2

(the heart is removable)

p3

And well, because I could, I took some ring shots. I had to practice for the wedding day!

p4

So, what do you think?? I’m super excited about how they turned out, and am glad to already have them here!

What will your ring bearer carry?

I’m not having a ring bearer, but we are getting a ring bowl!

It’s going to be engraved with “my love is an anchor tied to you” and our wedding date.

I’m obsessed with Paloma’s Nest. I’ve been salivating over her ring bearer bowls since right before we got engaged. We have two ring bearers as well, and I’m buying two of her bowls for our wedding date. I’m thinking about the small initial bowls, though– one with my first initial, and one with his.

My internet shopping has resulted in the same stream of packages arriving at the door. Nothing as pretty as this yet! :-)

Those are awesome. I love Paloma’s Nest! Our ring bearer will be a little bit too tiny to be responsible for carrying something, but if he was older I’d totally consider them!

Aww, so adorable. Somehow having two of them makes it not twice as cute but exponentially cuter!
