I have total craft envy. I love all things related to paper goods, DIY, different types of adhesives, scissors and paper punches. I pore over invitations and scrapbooks like a madwoman. I have my Gocco, bone folder, heat gun, bone folder, and extra sharp scissors. The only thing missing? Actual crafting experience.
Enter the lovely world of Weddingbee and other wedding blogs! These sites are invaluable sources of inspiration for DIY-wannabe gals like myself. After resolving the formal vs. informal save-the-date debate (another whole post), I found and fell in love with these guys:
I thought – I could do that! After scouring Paper Presentation and Print Icon in NYC for the right cardstock, ribbons and envelope lining paper, I whipped up a few of these:
Bummed I have to blur out the names!
Not too shabby, huh?

Weddingbee has been a major source of inspiration for our wedding. We’re actually in the midst of designing our save the dates and have been turning to weddingbee for lots of ideas. Before Weddingbee, I had never heard of papersource or many of the other stores and resources we’ve been using throughout the planning process. Our wedding wouldn’t be nearly as diy friendly or personal without the bee!

These Save The Dates are supper cute! I love the use of childhood photos. It’s so original and really unique.
I also make Save The Dates at tietheknotdesigns.com but have never thought to use childhood photos.

Wow, what a small world! I recognize that inspiration Save the Date cause my brother is friends with the couple and actually went to that wedding, and I’m getting married at the same venue. Yours is really cute, too!
