For you girls in the waiting section, I thought I’d try to help you and your SOs out (I know you made a vow to say nothing until Christmas, but just hear me out). Maybe your SO is trying really hard to come up with a creative idea or way to propose, but just can’t figure out what the hell to do.
Well, that’s where your blog friends come in. See, this sweet guy knew that his girlfriend loved reading Bakerella (and who wouldn’t, her stuff is amazing), so he emailed Bakerella to see if she would help him out with his proposal! Well, of course she said yes, and this was the result:
Every Sunday night she posts a new recipe or sweet idea, and just recently, this was the post on her blog! What a lucky girl! Oh, and the recipe for those awesome cupcake pops is also on her website.
So, maybe you all could hook your SO with some of your blog friends and see what happens. Just a thought!

That is so freaking sweet! My honey enlisted one of my besties (he had her plant the hidden video cameras b/c he knew I’d want the moment captured on film, but wanted to surprise me with the proposal so cameras couldn’t be all in my face) and one of my favorite local musicians. I was so impressed that he thought to go to all of that trouble. I’m the planner for everything in our lives, so for him to put real thought into it was incredibly sweet. It was perfect.
Oh wow, this is amazing. It gave me chills just thinking of when Mel saw it!!
This is adorable!!! I read the linked Bakerella post then her archives to get all of the proposal details. So sweet.

I just got a big goofy grin on my face. I love sweet proposal stories!
My FI didn’t involve anyone else in the proposal, unless you include asking both my dad and my mom for their permission, then telling his parents what he planned to do that weekend.
i was so giddy when i read that in my google reader! what a lucky gal. i heard she said yes too! eeee!
i don’t know how the boy will propose or if he will include external parties but i told him if he does to make sure it’s people he trusts can act normal around me because once i get an inkling something is up, i become all nancy drew on stuff. haha. i have ruined many a surprise because of that!

My FI got the bartender at the resort we were staying at to bring me to a private pool-side cabana “to see how they look all set up” (my meeting planner self was all about it) only to find the FI inside with a ring!

Is it bad that Loverboy asked me to marry him (and it was totally sweet though sans ring) and I’m hoping for something really special when he actually gives me a ring (ie, maybe asking again … a re-proposal … hrm)?!?!?! And this is tooo darn cool of an idea.

That’s so cute and sweet! : ) My fiance didn’t involve my friends in my proposal per se, but he did ask my best friend’s input on some of his ideas.
I saw Bakerella’s post after she put it up and it gave me chills. It was so unexpected and I was wishing it was for me! Congrats to Melissa and Rich. I’m so glad she said yes.
Oh my god, how cute. It’s like the perfect proposal situation. Very thoughtful and romantic, yet not really public enough to be embarrassing. When I used to be obsessed with Cute Overload, I remember someone proposing to his gf on that site, and I thought it was the most adorable thing ever.
