Mrs. Joey, SeattleAge and Occupation: 28, Project Administrator for Public Health NGOFiance's Age and Occupation: 30, High School History TeacherEngagement Date: June 24, 2008Wedding Date: August 2009Venue: Eastside Catholic Chapel and Lake Union CafeAbout Me: I'm a Seattle girl through and through except for the fact that I don't drink coffee. I love my job most of the time because I get to travel and work with brilliant people who are trying to prevent Malaria. I love DIY projects of all sorts, cooking, and watching sports. I'd wear anything at Anthropologie and could spend all day on Etsy. I love to travel but shouldn't because I always get myself into unbelievable situations!
Mrs. French Fries, MilwaukeeAge and Occupation: 27, ParalegalFiance's Age and Occupation: 35, Investments AdvisorEngagement Date: September 20, 2008Wedding Date: June 2010Venue: Ceremony: Catholic Church, Reception: Hotel BallroomAbout Me: I'm a Midwestern girl who longs to live in a warmer climate (my feet would be happy in flip flops any day!). I love travel, impromptu napping, grilled cheese sandwiches, my iPhone, singing with reckless abandon in my car, and Mr. French Fries.
Not for me, silly. I will gladly be wearing my sweet Cossette to our reception as well as our ceremony, but there will be some changes made to parts of my bridal get-up. I’ll take out my cathedral length veil — it would only pick up dirt and debris around the reception hall–and I’ll have my dress bustled so that I can dance unabashedly to “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics on the dance floor (most likely looking like Elaine from Seinfeld).
Punam Bean, New York CityVendor: PhotographerWebsite: Punam Bean PhotographyAbout Me: Punam Bean is an international destination wedding and portrait photographer based out of New York City. She loves animals, and particularly longs for the companionship of a bulldog, in addition to that of her ever loving Husband. She eats pizza for breakfast every single day, and spends too much money on dresses. In this, her first year of business, she's booked 30 weddings all around the world, in New York City, California, Jamaica, Venezuela and Nigeria. Her images have been described as emotional, whimsical and elegant.
This was like the wedding I imagined for myself after watching Disney movies as a child. It was one for the storybooks, set in a private chateau in Le Grand Lucé, in the Loire Valley of France.
I feel so lucky that Cailen and Sean found me floating around the internets. It’s such a true blessing when I get to work with a couple so kind and loving. The relationship Cailen has with her siblings is enviable. Her brother had so much to say in his toast that he wrote her a book. Her little sister clung to her side as Cailen prepared for her right of passage. At one point, they lay on the bed, gazing at each other with marvel, saying I love you. I mean, wow. Just being around that kind of love is eye opening. And that’s to say nothing yet of Cailen and Sean.
I love my job because it is pure joy. I get to be around all these amazing people with amazing relationships, and I get to tell their amazing stories. Sean came to America from Ireland on a track scholarship. It was on college track that he met Cailen, and these years later they look at each other like they each are the luckiest people around.
Also, the Mayor of the town donated all the flowers for the wedding! How insanely awesome is that??

Engagement Date: December 31, 2008Wedding Date: November 2009Venue: Whitfield Square/Savannah StationAbout Me: I'm working on my second degree from UGA (Go Dawgs!). I'm a self-proclaimed attention-w****. If it involves a camera, I'm in front of it! You'll never meet a girlier tomboy than me. I can go toe to toe with any guy on the subject of college football, and lift more than any girl in my gym, all without chipping a nail. I hope to someday be the only person you want delivering your sports news. My FI and I are the loving parents of three Labrador Retrievers (one of each color) and are planning a "Southern Romantic Charm" wedding in the beautiful, historic city of Savannah. I'm not extreme in anything except moderation... and wedding planning.
I planned to do two gold lockets to display photos of family members that will not be able to join Mr. Lab and me on our special day (although I know they’ll be there in spirit). Read more…
Mrs. Trail Mix, New YorkAge and Occupation: 26, PE TeacherFiance's Age and Occupation: 27, MBA StudentEngagement Date: March 2009Wedding Date: June 2010Venue: Tannery Pond at the Darrow SchoolAbout Me: I'm a country girl who somehow found herself living in the Big Apple and loving every minute of it. I'm planning a rustic, country-chic wedding in my hometown in upstate New York and it's going to be a Party with a capital P. White wine, flea markets and running keep me happy and my friends, family and fiance are my world. I'm a little bit crafty, a little bit crazy but mostly just crazy in love.
After taking a few weeks to enjoy some engagement bliss, I started to get serious about wedding planning. The first decision I felt was necessary to make was about the venue. It’s always been my dream to get married in or around my hometown, and Mr Trail Mix has known this for some time. So luckily, choosing the area was easy.
At first, I started looking at some beautiful Bed and Breakfasts in the Berkshires, MA (I grew up about 20 minutes away in a teeny little town on the New York side). One of the first places we looked at was The Seven Hills Inn located in Lenox, MA.

Mrs. Hamster, New York CityAge and Occupation: 28, Finance GalFiance's Age and Occupation: 30, Finance GuyEngagement Date: March 9, 2009Wedding Date: May 2010Venue: The Pierre HotelAbout Me: I'm an original Jersey girl living it up in the big NYC! I love baking for others, hosting brunches, and exploring NYC with my mans. Besides Mr. Hamster (of course), I'm attracted to shiny things, bold colors, snacks, matching and coordination, pork and duck fats, miniature versions of things, corny jokes and puns. We are planning a swanky Spring wedding in the heart of NYC, followed by a second reception in Singapore. From one city that never sleeps to another - I can't imagine a more exciting ride!
In my last e-shoot post, I revealed the two outfits I was considering for our upcoming engagement shoot. After much deliberation, I decided to go with the red DVF!
Now, what should the mans wear to match? Perhaps something like this: Read more…
Mrs. Cloud, RichmondAge and Occupation: 25, Sales RepFiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Customer Service Manager/DJEngagement Date: February 14, 2008Wedding Date: November 2009Venue: Cathedral of the Sacred Heart & The Jefferson HotelAbout Me: Mr. Cloud and I are Yankees planning a Southern wedding to show our families from Boston and New York our fabulous city. We are complete opposites, resulting in a wedding to include bridesmaids in pearls and groomsmen in Adidas shell toes. I’m a sorority girl at heart with strong addictions to my blackberry, cherry Chapstick, Coach purses, the Boston Red Sox and our fur baby, Bella. I can’t wait to the throw the party of our lives and of course, marry my best friend!
I have always been a big fan of paper: paper products, paper crafts, anything to do with paper! My neighbor growing up had a drawer in her basement that was filled with scraps of anything from construction paper to scrapbooking scraps and anytime I complained of being bored, Mama Cloud would send me over looking for a project.
It’s no surprise when we got engaged that I immediately had visions of paper projects dancing through my head. And what did I need to complete all of these fabulous projects? A Gocco, of course! I searched for weeks for a new PG-5 model at a reasonable price. This was right after it was announced that no more supplies would be manufactured and new machines were going for over $500 on eBay! I was not that desperate! I called Northwood Studios on a whim, knowing they would probably be out of stock (they now are completely out of all supplies as well) and to my surprise, there was ONE left! It was meant to be. A week later I was a proud new Gocco owner and have since done a number of small projects to perfect my skills. But this past weekend was the Gocco weekend to end all Gocco weekends. I decided all the projects I had planned on doing needed to be knocked out.
Mrs. Pretzel, SeattleAge and Occupation: 32 Learning, Training, and Development SpecialistFiance's Age and Occupation: 28 Manufacturing EngineerEngagement Date: September 2, 2009Wedding Date: July 2010Venue: Catholic Church & The Engine Room at Georgetown StudiosAbout Me: I’m just a thirty-something girl who never dreamed of weddings, poofy dresses, or ritzy receptions. I am a rabid knitter, except recently, wedding projects have replaced my yarn and needles. I’ve been fiercely independent since the age of 2 and 30 years later I think my family and friends had given up on me settling down and getting married.
Ironically, I had to go all the way to Seattle to find a boy from Purdue. We fell in love over Seattle Beers and cooking together. I love NASCAR, he loves Legos. I can talk like a Muppet and he can fit a whole McDonald’s cheeseburger in his mouth. We are a two reception couple, currently planning a brewery inspired bash.
… and also loved (in no particular order) Cooking, NASCAR, Football and GOOD beer. She was 29, her mom lived with her, she was a knitter and she had two cats (one more cat would’ve sealed her single-ness for good!). Things were not looking good for this lass. It was 2007, Miss Pretzel had just started a new job at *HUGE* company and she also had a strict no dating people at work policy. It was pretty uneventful the first time Miss Pretzel met Mr Pretzel. She was being introduced to some of her customers on her second day of work. The conversation went like this. Read more…

Mrs. Chick, HoustonAge and Occupation: 28, Rights and Reproduction ManagerFiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Computer ProgrammerEngagement Date: November 15, 2008Wedding Date: April 2010Venue: A farm outside of HoustonAbout Me: Mr. Chick and I met almost ten years ago at Baker Blues, a college jazz party. He was attracted to my intensity, and I was mesmerized by his trivia pursuit skills and his dorm furniture adorned with his initials. We've grown more sophisticated through the years, with our love of wine, owning a house together, and parenthood (of a cat), but we have not lost our silliness or childish sense of humor!

I was born and raised in a small East Texas town, but I'm no country girl! I'm obsessed with British accents, fantasy (including Harry Potter, of course), and classic rock. My fiance and I consider ourselves both music and beer snobs--but every once in awhile we love to hear a crappy band and drink a cheap brew or two. We're planning an eco-friendly, casual, English garden affair for the end of summer, and we can't wait for it to get here!
When I left you guys, we had just seen the Eiffel Tower sparkle in all its Disney-esque glory. We woke up the next morning, had breakfast in our hotel, and took the Metro to the rail station, where we would get on our train to Milan. We were sad to leave Paris but so excited about what was next!
At the Milan Cathedral
We enjoyed a relaxing ride through the French and Italian countryside. The highlight of the train ride was getting to see the Alps–they really do have little snow caps on! We arrived in Milan around 9PM, ready to find our hotel and get something to eat. We’d eaten lunch on the train, but we were definitely saving room for a nice, big, Italian dinner. Unfortunately, we had booked our hotel in advance and it was pretty far from the city center. So much for saving money! We took the subway as far as it would go in our direction and then had a 45-minute walk to our hotel. That’s a 45-minute (hungry) walk with giant backpacks on our backs. Read more…

After we ate and mingled a little, it was time for the toasts. I have to say, the toasts were one of the highlights of the wedding day. I’ve been to weddings where there were 7-10 toasts that were really intimate/personal that I sometimes didn’t understand.

A couple weekends ago, I had my makeup trial with Savannah’s famed Jules of Dollface by Jules. I had a blast with Jules who is a bride-to-be herself. She’s super stylish and very easy going. I know she’ll provide some comic relief and much needed calmness to my big day while getting ready.
These photos really don’t do her work justice. I had driven 4 hours that day straight from my home in Athens to the appointment in Savannah. When I got to the studio, I realized that my camera was dead and my mom had the charger. And if you remember from this post, I also had a bit of a crying fit before my camera was charged and I took photos of the trial results (hours later after sitting in my FSIL’s house with a broken A/C!). So please keep all that in mind!
The overview. Kinda blurry but you get the picture.

I love scrapbooking, dancing, doggies, and diet coke. I am all about personalizing everything and hence, I'm a DIY bride who is just loving the entire wedding planning process! Mr. Daffodil and I met in our college fellowship group and were "just friends" for three years before we started dating. We've been together for four years now and can't wait to get married in sunny SoCal, Mr. Daffodil's hometown.
Many of you may remember my obsession with paper goods and wedding invitations, so you can imagine my delight when Sister Daffodil asked me to design her an invitation! A few weeks prior, we had picked out a canary yellow and light pink theme together for her wedding. I wanted the invitation to reflect her and BIL Daff’s personalities and how their wedding would likely be - lighthearted, joyful, but most of all, FUN! I’m excited to finally share with you how they turned out and how we did it! Read more…
