In my last dress post, my exhaustive search for a fluffly, romantical dress with lots o’ lace left me with lots o’… nothing. It was then that my ever-honest MOH, sistah Hamster (heretoforth known as sis[Hams]ter), bestowed on me a mantra that shaped the rest of my dress shopping hunt:

“You’re just not sweet and delicate!”

Ouchies.

This gal knows me better than I know myself - and doesn’t let me forget it. After the initial sting wore off, I realized that she was absolutely right. I don’t giggle girlishly – my guffaw can be heard across the room. I look like a doily in frills, but I shine in structured fabrics and clean lines. Lace has no place on this girl. I needed a statement dress – one that would proclaim:

Shazammy! Here’s Hammy!!!

With that in mind, my search was *much* more successful. Witness:

I’ll make full disclosure - The One was not any of the above. Where is it, you ask? Well, I’m a bit reluctant to post pictures of me-in-the-dress before the big day - after all, I want Mr. Hammy to be one of the first ones to see it on me!
