About Mrs. Lamb

Sh*ewe*ered with Love

November 11th, 2009 @ 4:41 pm by Mrs. Lamb

I received this lovely invitation in the mail at the beginning of September.

Sh*ewe*ered with Love : wedding bridal shower Tea Inv tea_inv

*Edited thanks to one of my Lambaids - she said that my attempts at hot pink spray paint for privacy’s sake was sad. Hahaha, she just found herself a new job as my personal privacy painter!

Then in October, Ewe Mother, Lambaid Maid of Honor and a slew of helpers and Lambaids hosted the most beautiful shower. Ewe Mother turned her house into a bona fide tea room with real china tea settings and lots of special touches. In the photograph below, you can see some of the spread and the table where Mr. Lamb’s family and my family mingled over Earl Grey.

Ewe Mother created these sweet menus for each place setting. Lambaid of Honor E made scones from scratch and several family friends contributed with tasty tea sandwiches.

After the tea, it was time to open presents! Lambaid L made these amazing, personalized Bingo sheets for the game. The flourishes are so me!

This is me opening a card and gift. Look closely at the card. Can you see the stockings? as in the Christmas stockings?

My friend AK is in the pink jacket. As you can see from the look on Lambaid of Honor E’s face, she’s finding the card pretty hilarious.

I just had to read the card out loud: Wishing you peace and happiness this Christmas! for your Shower!

Sh*ewe*ered with Love : wedding bridal shower 71 7

Many cards were meaningful (like the one from my Dad which made me cry), but this card was 100% the funniest! *Note to self: do not make this face in wedding pictures.*

The gift was almost as funny as the card…

because AK had no clue what it was. The best quotation of the shower: “I don’t even know what a Trifle Bowl is.”

I had a lovely time catching up with everyone. It was the first time that Mr. Lamb family’s women met the women of my family. And I especially loved seeing my Lambaids.

What was the funniest moment of your shower? Do you have a favorite moment?

Glad you had fun! The funniest moment I can think of was opening a card to see who the gift was from and saw “PS this gift is for Mr. Ramen”…. and it was some sexy mama lingerie.

I love the word “Lambaid.” It sounds like it should be the name of a charity organization that helps lost baby sheep.

I got a a card that was sort of like your Christmas card, except mine was a Hanukkah card. But the gifter wasn’t Jewish? Yep, that one went in my scrapbook!
