I am so excited about the photographer that we hired for our wedding. I spent months and months researching photographers trying to find someone who took artistic wedding photos and didn’t charge an arm and a leg. Our wedding is on a very strict budget, but that doesn’t mean that I am willing to give up on quality.
Enter Clint from Renaissance Studio Photography. I had been checking his website for months, looking at the pictures and pondering whether or not we could afford him. When Sister Pudding and I went to meet him, we were both blown away by how easy going and professional he was. We definitely clicked, and he totally understood the vision that I have for our wedding. When he mentioned that he loved taking pictures of broken down barns, I was completely sold! (I’ve been obsessing over barns for years now… ask Mr. Pudding!)

One of the best things about Clint is that photography is his passion. He has a separate website that showcases some of his “artsier” photography. I love that he has “an artist’s soul”. Here are some images that I absolutely love:
Did you manage to find a photographer whose worked you love and prices you can afford?
Yes! I lovveeee my photographer. She takes very artsy and photojournalistic shots. And she is so super-nice in person. And very very affordable.
She also has these great retro-shoots she’s done for brides in lieu of a boudoir shoot. I think that’s what I’m going to do for the big guy as a gift!

Yay!!!! I’m from the area and I just did a boudoir shoot with Clint and Shawn. They are so fabulous to work with and there’s no doubt your wedding pics will be wonderful! Great choice, Miss P!

@Miss Pudding: It was anything BUT weird! Clint and Shawn made me so comfortable and it was so much fun! I did one of the boudoir marathons in Toronto and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I’m anxiously awaiting my pics. 
We actually met with Clint about shooting our wedding but decided to go with another photog in the end. I continue to stalk their blog and there’s definitely some regret with not going with them. At least I was able to work with them in some way!
P.S. the 4th shot with the CN tower in the background is one of my absolute faves!

I love the pictures. How did you find someone with such amazing pictures for a good price. I have been SO bummed out about finding great photographers and then finding out their really high prices!! I’d love to know how you did it!
@cgruse: There is no easy answer here: I did months and months of searching the internet and coming up empty handed. Thank goodness that our long engagement allowed me to do this. I think that in the end, I found the photographer through facebook - I clicked on one of the personalized ads. Just keep looking and refuse to settle!
