About Mrs. Penguin

While I was at Bridal Market this year, Mrs. Bee introduced me to a really neat concept that we wanted to share with the hive: video that can be displayed in print material, like in your wedding album. The technology, called My Video My Voice, is essentially a video screen so thin that can be incorporated into pretty much any print material you can think of.

You can load up to 45 minutes of video material and break it up into 5 chapters, and it can be all recharged via your computer. So, you can combine the best of both worlds—photography and videography—in one place!

This technology would make for some killer wedding invites, too. You can tell your love story, proposal story, and invite your guest via video right in a card!

Admittedly, this concept was kind of hard to grasp for me (I’m such an old foagie!), until I saw a video of it in action:

Keeping your video in the same place as your wedding pictures sounds like a really cool idea! I haven’t purchased our wedding album yet, and it’s something I’d definitely love to have, especially considering that I don’t think I’d ever take the time to watch our wedding video—but if it were sitting right out on our coffee table, I imagine we’d take the time to watch it if guests came around to look at our album.

What do you think?

I saw that at a paper store and fell in love!! I knew my fiance would love it too because he’s such a techie. Then we went home and went online, and discovered these things cost like $200-300 each! We were originally thinking it would be so cool as invitations. Maybe for a millionaire. :p It’s a neat idea to just buy 1 and put on coffee table though!

I love this idea! It keeps making me think of the moving photographs in Harry Potter, though. :)

@silverbuggy They really cost that much? I heard “relatively cheap” on the video and thought we could put them into our invitations but ha! only if we were millionaires. :)

Hmmm well maybe I spoke too fast. The starter kit here is $249:
http://myvideomyvoice.com/index2.php

It includes 1 Video Book, 1 Video Album, 1 Video Card, and 25 Brochures. I’m not sure if they would sell things individually. I’m curious what the per unit cost would be for the most basic version!
