Our Bunny Theme: Favors

November 20th, 2009 @ 4:51 pm by Mrs. Parfait

To avoid forest animal overload, we’re keeping the bunny theme subtle. Small. In the details.

You see, I would really love to have an elegant wedding. Pretty, sophisticated, and formal. And that’s the plan so far! But my heart lives for cuteness. And the one detail that I can go crazy-freaking-cute with is the favors! We have no idea what we’re going to do for our favors, but I’ll use this time to propose some ideas.

1. First up, silhouette tea tins. Pretty classy, right? I’m not big on tea, but one of my favorite childhood candies came in a tin like this. I think it’s still available at Asian grocery stores. We could easily wrap up the candy tins with any pictures and text we want.

2. Bunny beanbags. Oh, these are cute. These are wedding-favor-worthy. These are reuse-in-Easter-baskets-worthy. These are keep-around-the-house-and chuck-at-the-future-husband-when-he’s-not-looking-worthy!

3. Pom-pom bunnies. Admittedly, the least useful favor, but look—even the carrots are cute!

4. Long-eared note cards. Small packs of this stationery would make adorable gifts. (I never said these favors would be guy-friendly!)

5. Bunnies gone postal. I could sew 200 of these, write our guests’ names on the envelopes, and make these work double-time as our favor/place cards! Yeah, I realize how crazy that sounds, but I still think it’s a fun idea. :)

6. From what I hear, everybody loves an edible favor. Well, say hello to the sweet and sugar-sprinkled bunny marshmallows! What’s next—bunny cotton candy? One can only dream.

There are endless options out there for every theme and color scheme—how did you choose your favors? And do you have a favorite of the ones above?

Aww…. bunnies. I think my bunny, Basse, would be quite jealous of all of these lovely favors. What a great choice… love the tea favors!

Wow, you found some really great stuff! I think either the tea or the sugar bunnies would be the best crowd pleasers. But the little ears sticking out of the envelopes are too cute!

I’m a sucker for edible favors, I like the sugar marshmallows, or even the tea or candy in the tin

These are all really cute, but my fav is the top one, the tins with the animals on them. Very cute, but still classy and simple without going overboard. We have three favors! We’re doing a lotto scratch off ticket, M&M’s in a heart shaped small tin, and heart shaped soft pretzels. Were from Philly and both our families worked in the soft pretzel business so the pretzels will be the big hit. And the lotto tickets are just fun and who doesnt love winning money! And the M&M’s will have Steelers logos on them…GO PITTSBURGH STEELERS!

My favorite is the bunny tea/candy tins. But the bunnies in the envelopes are adorable too.

My bunny/baby blanket is still on my bed. You barely see the bunnies anymore and it’s white instead of pink, but I will never part with it! :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bunny bean bags, and the bunnies in envelopes!!! I’m also a cute-fanatic (who isn’t?) and want to incorporate our pugs into the wedding somehow. I have cats too, but somehow incorporating the cats into the wedding seems too crazy-cat-lady, no?

My BM made a cute illustration of them for my STDs, and I want them made into a cake topper. But your idea of incorporating them into the favors is great too - maybe I’ll have the illustration printed onto the labels of our favors, which will likely be small tins of tea (Earl Grey for him, Green Tea for me).
