Mrs. Cheeseburger, Baltimore, MD/State College, PA Age and Occupation: 25, Medical Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Medical Student Engagement Date: June 28, 2008 Wedding Date: March 2010 Venue: Catholic Church Ceremony & Hotel Reception About Me: I'm a passionate girl from Pittsburgh, currently living in Baltimore for school, who loves Penn State, seeing movies, football, thunderstorms, black and white photos, Christmas, good beer, my amazing friends and family, and of course, my mister! We met, fell in love, got engaged, and will be married at our alma mater (go lions!) in a traditional Catholic ceremony followed by a hotel reception with lots of DIY details. It means so much to have our families and friends meet at our favorite place on earth to celebrate our love for one another - I truly couldn't ask for anything more!
About Mrs. Cheeseburger

We have THE BEST friends and families. Like, seriously, the best. So I am continually in search of ways to make their time at our wedding weekend as comfortable, fun, and filling (as in food, lots and lots of food) as possible!

To begin, when guests check in at their hotels, they will be greeted by this, which is basically a total rip-off of these bad boys by the lovely Mrs. Bell Pepper:

Inside will be lots of regional goodies from both of our hometowns; here’s what we’ve got so far:

From Burger’s hometown - Reading, PA: Fifth Avenue Bars, Unique Pretzels, and Good’s Potato Chips

From my hometown, Pittsburgh, PA: Clark Bars, Heinz Mustard, and Pittsburgh Nuts

Also included will be some pop, information for the guests, and descriptions of the items and how each relates to where we’re from!

We actually wanted to include regional beers as well (Reading Premium and Iron City), but Cheeseburger Mom and Dad pointed out that some rooms may not have refrigerators to cool the beers and that we’d be giving some minors access to beer. I was convinced not to include them in the OOT boxes by the former more than the latter (who wants to drink warm beer?), but to replace this idea I’m considering trying to arrange having them at the cocktail hour. We shall see.

Overall, I’m ridiculously excited about this little project. We won’t be able to assemble the boxes until we get up there, so these will probably be one of the last things we complete before the weekend begins! That makes me giddy just thinking about it. :)

How are you greeting your guests?

Those are cute!
I’m not sure what to do in mine- the only things from Rochester are Kodak, garbage plates, and white hots. Can’t put food in there! :)

Very cute!!! I’ve been trying to think of all the things I want to put in ours. We’re just starting to collect maps of our downtown and IL for everyone to have in their rooms. Now we’re going to have to figure out food, and snacks.

Cute ideas!

For ours….my new last name/FI’s last name is actually the same as a liquor that has some significance to it. We plan on including a small bottle of the liquor, the corresponding glasses, and instructions. We don’t have to worry about minors bc there won’t be any at the hotel.

So much food! That’s awesome. Um, we’re going to include bourbon in ours. Because… we make bourbon here! Ha. But no horse meat, cause that would be creepy.

Love your respective items - good idea!
We put our OOT bags together once we got to our destination (Lake Tahoe from Chicago) and it was the easiest thing we did when we go there and so worth it! We added Jones sodas in ours and they were a big hit! Jones had a halloween edition that they did in 8 oz cans which seemed to be the perfect size!
Everyone loves getting treats! Think about adding water too!

Great post!

Your treats sound great! We’ll be doing OOT bags too, but I haven’t even started planning what they’ll look like or what will go in them yet!
