By now I’m sure most of you have see the YouTube video of the groom who updates his Facebook status DURING his wedding.
If you haven’t seen it here it is:
This video reminded me of a similar video I saw shortly after I met Melissa McClure. If you remember, she Tweeted at her wedding.
In both cases I was surprised at how well their spouses accepted the interruption. Melissa’s husband is so cute waiting for her to Tweet and kept her phone in his pocket.
Mr Frenchie (and Mama Frenchie) would have killed me if I did this! I did, however, update my Facebook status and Tweet the next morning.
In the age of instant gratification, how long do you think you’ll take to tell the world you’re married?
my guy would SO kill me if i tweeted/fb during the ceremony. and he’s a twitterer as well. lol. but i think i’d probably do the announcements sometime during the next day. i’d be too busy having a ball.
i’m also anticipating holding back tweets from our first elopement ceremony until we got back. it’ll be a fun little secret.
I updated my status the next morning, too–and so did the Dude!
I’ll probably be able to hold out until the next day, but all my FB friends will know it’s coming because I’m pretty sure my status that morning will be “I’m getting married TODAY!!!!!”
I’m thinking I would be on top of it the next day!!
The next day, but I totally agree with Goldilocks and mine will be similar.
I think it was two days before we changed our statuses to married.
I think we would kill each other if that happened! lol. I think I’d do it the next day.
Ha, I’m sure that first one was totally planned as a cute and funny stunt! I think the officiant was in on it because he didn’t seem to look too carefully at what the groom was doing. So funny!
We did ours the next morning! We got home, went online and did that stuff, opened gifts and then slept for the rest of the day!
I am so old-fashioned that I cannot handle how people thing it’s okay to be on your cell at all during the ceremony, but hey, if that works for them, whatev =)
We updated on the way to the hotel after the wedding!!
I don’t know but these videos totally annoy me! (Love the post, annoyed by these people) 
Also, when I got engaged, I didn’t update right away (as in, I didn’t do it that day) and my FB friends were all over me about it! It was funny. People don’t let you lunch on it.
I planned to update my status at our reception but just totally forgot. We weren’t going to be spotlighted while we did it though. I think the videos are cute and probably fit the couples, but I have to be honest and say that I hope it doesn’t become some huge trend.
The most important ppl were there and already knew! I think I updated after our minimoon.
We did “hey internets, we’re engaged!” Maybe at the reception we’ll do something dorky like that. :p
I’d like to be able to say we’d wait until the next day, but… knowing us, it’ll probably be updated on his iPhone on the way to or from pictures! It was a huge deal when we updated our status to engaged on facebook 
I was one of those people that didn’t want to update my facebook relationship right away after I was engaged. Personally I love hearing the good news from my good friends and family in person or over the phone. We waited a few days before we made it facebook official that way we could tell everyone ourselves. I would love to not get on facebook at all during our honeymoon but my fiance is slightly internet addicted so I’m sure our statuses will change by the next morning!
HAHA That’s hilarious! I was updated my status on my blackberry all day until I got to the ceremony site! People were replying saying GET OFF!!! HAHAHAHA
I imagine I’ll update it sometime late that day or a few days afterwards. Not sure…and knowing FI he’ll update his after I bug him about it for a week or two.
My friend’s… husband… pulled out his iphone at their dinner reception today and requested to be married to my friend on FB! She rolled her eyes and said she’s fix it when they got home!
