So, Audrey is here, and she’s fabulous as you might have heard me say (a million times). But something I haven’t yet talked about is the equally-fabulous veil I’m wearing during my fitting:

The beautiful veil belongs to my beautiful mother:
Gorgeous bride, gorgeous dress, gorgeous veil!
And she is letting me borrow her veil for my big day!
You may notice that her veil has a juliet cap. While it’s very pretty, I asked if she minded if we took the veil off of the cap for me to use, and she was OK with it. The veil was actually only very loosely stitched to the inside of the cap, so it came off very easily. It should also go back on very easily, as Cheeseburger SisterMOH insists she will wear the veil with the cap for her wedding (we’ll see).
I am so happy to have something of my mother’s that is so beautiful to wear on my wedding day.
P.S. - Greg & Maryanne at Anne Gregory said that the Alencon lace on the veil was in wonderful condition, and that a veil of its kind in the store would cost about $800 - score!
What is your something borrowed?
