Engagement Pictures: Outfit Round-Up

We were scheduled to take our engagement pictures at the end of October, and so I spent some time thinking about what we would wear. I found a really cute, fall dress at Banana earlier this summer that I have been saving to wear for this exact occasion. I am really into the whole ruffle trend, and I love, love, love this dress (the color is closer to the detail shot - a really pretty blue). I also really wanted to pair it with some bright shoes, and I thought yellow would really work. The necklace is one of my favorite accessories, and the short sleeved cardigan is a pretty pale bluish green that I recently decided to get since it will likely be a bit chilly on photo day.

Another outfit I brought to try out was a more casual one - dark jeans with a pretty print tank and one of my favorite cardigans. It’s an awesome mustard color, and I got it majorly on sale at T.J. Maxx!

Burger Man will sport a dressy/casual look throughout our shoot - dress shirts and ties, but with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow, top button undone and tie a little loose. This is hands down my absolute favorite look on a guy, plus it was more comfortable for him anyway!

First up is an awesome green striped shirt with a plum tie (our wedding purple!) with khakis, paired with my blue dress outfit. Second up is an awesome lavender striped shirt (though it looks blue below) with a deep red tie that looked great with jeans and my yellow cardigan look.

Lastly, we wanted a few quick shots of us in our hometown sports gear! We’ll be sporting throwback Steelers and Eagles tees (also from Old Navy) for some fun shots.

I might have gone a bit overboard here, but the pictures look amazing - and they’re coming up soon enough!

I second that love of the t-shirts! I kind of wish I had put more time into selecting my outfits, but it was a super hot August morning and our photographer forgot to have us change. Oh well. I cannot wait to see your pictures!

I went shopping for new outfits, but ended up just changing tops because it was super chilly out and I didn’t want to bare my legs in a skirt. And I helped “guide” what FH was wearing to coordinate with my outfits Just picked up our e-pic order today. So excited - they turned out great and I can’t wait to get home to frame some of them!

We are having ours this weekend! Super excited about the photograper seeing where we will be getting married since she is coming to shoot the pictures on my parents farm, location of the wedding! We are also planning 3 outfits! Me is a nice dressy dress, carnigan and heels, FI in nice pants button up and sweater! Then our casual me in casual dress with cowboy boots and FI in Jeans and Polo! Then our normal everyday attire! Us both in our favorite t-shirts, jeans and tennis shoes!

I love the Steeler shirt! (even though our boys just can’t seem to get it together lately) I saw it at Old Navy and should have bought it. I know when I see your picks, I’m going to want it. And, I really like the yellow sweater/pink floral tank combo. These are some great outfits for pictures.

Super cute choices!! I definitely put a lot of thought into our engagement photo outfits. Ok, into my outfit, mr. fro yo picked his own. I wanted a bright color that would stand out in the photos, and some fun shoes. The shoes were very important. And it looks like you have some amazing shoes!

so cute! you guys are going to look fab. and that steelers shirt looks a lot better than the one mr. pug has, which loudly states” “I Bleed Black & Gold” in large print that covers the entire torso. shiver.

I love the sports shirt ideas! I think Mr. Sox and I might have to go down that route [after the more "appropriate" engagement outfits]. He’ll probably rock his Randy Moss/Patriots jersey while I wear my Jacoby Ellsbury/Red Sox shirt.
