After our fun photo shoot at our old high school it was time to stop back at my parents’ house for some food and formal shots. At this point in the day it was drizzling outside, so my dream of having family pictures in the garden where we had our first look wasn’t going to come true. The plan had been to take pictures with family outside while the wedding party helped Heather, our DOC, decorate the church. However when we arrived at the house we were told Heather had it all under control, so we were able to take more pictures with our wedding party, as well.
It was actually really nice to meet at the house all dressed up and have a little family camaraderie before the ceremony.

We got our fathers ready for their close-ups.
And then took turns heading outside onto the wet driveway for pictures. I was told the shots were going to be from the waist up… so I held onto my dress in the most unflattering manner! Make sure you practice holding the train of your dress; you never know when you might be scrunching up your beautiful dress in every photo. Another idea could have been to stand on a towel, or towel off a patch of the driveway for me. Of course, I think of that now!
I chose my BM here instead of my MOH, since you girls love her dress!

I love this shot with my father, captured just before we put on our formal faces.

Mr. Sunbeam and my parents-in-law

My family and grandparents
My in-laws!
While we were taking those quintessential formal portraits, one of Mr. Sunbeam’s coworkers who we had asked to take some video of our day was capturing other moments, like these:
**The proud parents
**Grandfather and grandson

**Father and daughter
**A glorious groomsman
**Dashing in browns

**And giddy smoochy soon-to-be-weds

**
As soon as we were done taking photos, people started alerting me that it was time to leave! It was time to get to the church! All of a sudden it was go time. The moment we’d been waiting for. The big event was about to take place. Breathe, breathe!
Up next: A post dedicated to my bridesmaids and all the info on their lovely dresses, since I’ve been getting a lot of questions about them, and then it’s CEREMONY TIME!
The above photos were taken by RAD Photography, with correcting/cropping by me on occasion unless otherwise specified. ** Indicates a photo taken by one of Mr. Sunbeam’s coworkers & edited by me.
