Changing Inspirations

I promised a story a while back about our evolving color palette. Once we’d selected a date and venue, we settled on a palette of black, ivory and green.

Tablescape (source); bridesmaid dress (source); flowers (source, source); Manolos (source); cake (source)

Then we decided to go a little crazy—how about olive green and eggplant purple? It sounded yummy, at least!

Eventually I dropped the purple and added gold, but after I discovered amnesia roses, I added a little lavender back into the equation.

Among the many, many reasons I am looking forward to finally being married to Mr. Spaniel, I count getting our photos and comparing them to my original inspirations.

Were you able to really commit to your colors? Or did your palette change over time?

I find it hilarious you went through the exact same progression of colors as I did!!! I am in love with black calla lilies so I think the purple will stay…otherwise yes it just keeps changing every day!

I just recently added pink to our florals. I think that it will be fab with navy and yellow. It’s good to add a little spice!

I’m in the same boat. My basic colors are black and white, but my accent color keeps changing. Some days I love light pink other days I think I should have pop of color like yellow. I have been planning for a while, so my ideas keep changing as well. I think I am over thinking everything now. LOL!!!

i went through 4 revisions of our wedding colors before finally settling on our current [and final] set. i felt like goldilocks!

my colors stayed pretty much the same, but the amount of them and how they were used changed regularly.

I love your all of your evolutions. I’m a totally indecisive bride, but it’s gotten where it’s just a “OK WE HAVE EVERYTHING” point, and that’s working for us.

My palette changed and changed. I couldn’t commit to one color so I didn’t. My colors are berry colors. Anything in the shades of deep purple, plum, fushia, eggplant…etc.

I am thinking about changing my colors for two reasons. 1) I think the dress I’m gonna pick won’t fly with the colors I had chosen and 2) I LOVE amnesia roses (even though I don’t like roses)
