One thing that really helped me sanity-wise before the engagement shoot was us getting our hairs did. I had an appointment to have my hair cut the day before the shoot, and Mr. S’s hair needed a little trimming. I thought it would be fun if we both got our hairs did in fancy land together. So, well, we did. Of course I took too many pictures of the event, but I needed to document Mr. S’s fancy-salon experience! (I’m usually his hair cutter… or he also is…)

All done! Hot stuff…
The super-awesome Luke of Vis-a-Vis, my regular hair dude, cut both of our hair on Saturday, then came over to the apartment to blow our hair out on Sunday pre-shoot. It was great, and really made me feel like a pampered rock star. Great hair? Check. That was one less thing for me to be all neurotic-pants about.
Anybody else get a little extra pampered before their engagement shoots for the sake of sanity (or fun)? Did you also get your fiance to join in on the fun?
In the 4th to last pic, Mr. S reminds me of Heath Ledger a little. I think it’s the eyes and the smirk 
Aww what a cute finace. He reminds me of someone (as well as Heath Ledger in the 4th pic) but I can’t put my finger one who. Maybe that guy from Greys anatomy?

personally I think he pulls off the scruffy look well. I hate when my fiance is scruffy because it just looks ridiculous on him.

Mr. S…loving the brooding, serious stare! He’s all like, “whatevs, I’m just getting my hairs cut. Ain’t no big deal…I look this sexy all the time!”
Hee hee — you’ll have to show him all of these comments when he’s having a bad day. BTW, your camera skills are fab.
You might need a virtual stick to fit off the hive from your fiance! And ditto to Mrs. HC on the camera skillz.

I was looking at your pictures thinking, “Wow, those look like a professional took them.” I love the first one of just your legs. Then I remembered, oh, she is a photographer. Which also explains why Mr. S is so comfortable with you snapping a bazillion pictures of him, I’m sure he’s used to it. I like the way you can capture your FI, but i bet you two takes tons of pics together.
About Mr. S, I think he can pull of the scruffy look ’cause he’s got a semi-chiseled bone structure to go with it. Dig it! Lastly, no one has mentioned his eyes. They look intense and warm at the same time.
I was looking at him and remembering your post about when you first kissed on New Years Eve. You saw him and said I want him. I think the hive can now see why!
You’ll have to share with us his reaction when he finds out that so many bees think he’s handsome.

@krissycake: LOL! I didn’t realize that until you pointed it out. I’m everywhere!
@Charm bracelet: He used to hide, but after enough pestering I think he finally gave up. He’s super sweet and patient with me, thankfully. We actually rarely take pictures together. I need to set up the tripod and do us both together. I’ve done it for myself! I’m the one that runs and hides from cameras the most. He does have a really amazing bone structure– high cheekbones and a strong jaw.
No kidding Miss Scissors, the mister is hot stuff!!
