That delightful [read: crappy] cell phone shot is the only photo I took of our engagement shoot outfits. What we wore was much different than the initial idea for our outfits, or at least on my side. We ditched the bland black-and-white (and unintentional matching) outfits that we’d originally planned on wearing, and went for pop and fun.

I really loved wearing this outfit. I felt like a total rock star. The tights were just so in-your-face and awesome. Plus, the polish was exactly the same color as the tights, which I hadn’t intended. (Buying the tights was a total afterthought). I hope I looked as good in it as I felt.
Dress: Ruched Exposed Zip Dress, Banana Republic, $132.00
Tights: Super Opaque Tight (in Claret), Hue, $12.50
Heels: James, Tory Burch, $310.00
Flats: Lizard-Print Flats, Old Navy, $24.50
Polish: OPI for Sephora (in It’s All About Me), Sephora, $9.00

Mr. S’s outfit was pretty similar to what we were thinking initially. The only changes were dropping a blazer for a charcoal sweater and throwing in some neon-blue socks.
Sweater: Merino V-Neck Sweater (in Dark Charcoal), Gap, $49.50
Shirt: New Solid Oxford, Gap, $44.50
Jeans: Standard Fit Jeans (in Medium Authentic Wash), Gap, $54.50
Socks: Solid Sock (in Neon Blue), Urban Outfitters, $8.00
Shoes: Chuck Taylor All-Stars, Piperlime, $42.50
What outfits did you rock for your engagement shoot? Did you go all renegade and switch up the plans at the last minute?
