Last week, all of us Chicago bees got together for a holiday party and it was, to say the least, a blast! Mrs. Emerald was so gracious to host the party at her gorgeous home and I was very excited to meet the local bees. Everyone brought a dish to share and we ended up with a huge assortment of yummy treats…

We had quite the spread including sushi, quiche, bruschetta, shrimp puffs, a cheese assortment, spinach dip, sweets, and more! It was all so good, and I loves me a big assortment of food – I tend to order a bunch of appetizers as opposed to one big dish and this meal was right up my alley!

This was my first time meeting any of the bees in person and I was very excited to get to know the ladies that I’ve been following for a long time now. Those of us that were able to make it were…

They all made me feel so welcome from the beginning and after a while, it was like I’d known them for years. I had to cut my evening a little short because I had to be up early for work the next morning, but I was enticed to stay a little longer for a slice of Mrs. Emerald’s to-die-for Kahlua cake with a scoop of whipped cream. And I’m glad I did. Mmm…

I just want to say that I love Weddingbee and the wonderful friendships that I have acquired through the site. I feel like I’ve been welcomed into a fantastic community full of support, new ideas, and amazing people. So, a special thanks to everyone here for making Weddingbee what it is!
