Mrs. Cheeseburger's Picture
Mrs. Cheeseburger, Baltimore, MD/State College, PA Age and Occupation: 25, Medical Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Medical Student Engagement Date: June 28, 2008 Wedding Date: March 2010 Venue: Catholic Church Ceremony & Hotel Reception About Me: I'm a passionate girl from Pittsburgh, currently living in Baltimore for school, who loves Penn State, seeing movies, football, thunderstorms, black and white photos, Christmas, good beer, my amazing friends and family, and of course, my mister! We met, fell in love, got engaged, and will be married at our alma mater (go lions!) in a traditional Catholic ceremony followed by a hotel reception with lots of DIY details. It means so much to have our families and friends meet at our favorite place on earth to celebrate our love for one another - I truly couldn't ask for anything more!
About Mrs. Cheeseburger

I already mentioned our out of town boxes and their physical contents, but I’ve recently gotten the paper goods together as well.

First, the monogram tags for the outside of the boxes:

Inside, along with the food items, will be a welcome packet. This is the letter on the front page:

Welcome!

We are overjoyed that you are here to celebrate with us and cannot thank you enough for being here to share in our special day!

We hope that you had a nice, safe trip to our favorite place on earth – Happy Valley! As you probably know, this is where we met, fell in love, got engaged, and soon will be MARRIED! Our engagement has been a dream, and we cannot believe that our big day is finally here.

We want this to be a wedding weekend that is well-worth your trip here, so inside this packet you will find lots of suggestions for things to do around the area. All of the restaurants, bars, and attractions come highly-recommended by our family, friends, and of course, us too!

Please enjoy your stay in State College, and thank you so much again for being here with us on this very special occasion.

Love,

Us

Next will be a list of attractions, restaurants, and bars complete with addresses, phone numbers, and a price-ranking system.

Following that list are the descriptions of the food items in the boxes (click to enlarge):

Inspired by fun inserts I’ve seen around the wedding blog world, I created some other cheesy items to go into our boxes - a crossword and a word search (both made here).

Finally, I wanted to include a little timeline for the weekend as well. Some of the details are still in the works, but it’s something that guests can carry with them during the weekend if they’d like to.

In addition, we’ll be throwing in some official visitors’ guides from the Centre County Visitors’ Bureau and some PSU paraphernalia as well.

I’ve said it before, but I’m really excited for this little project!

Did you make any fun stuff for your OOT bags?

Ooh! Mad Mex for your post-rehearsal dinner - I mainly go to the Pittsburgh Oakland branch, but I’m assuming the Happy Valley one also has the nom-tastic margaritas. Yum! Now I want a margarita!

Maybe you could also throw in a few crayons for the puzzles? I just thought of that. Perhaps just 3 in each, with a little ribbon tied around them. Oooh, or better yet, one in each of your wedding colors!

What special, unique details! I love them! What font did you use for the script headings on your “From Reading, Pennsylvania”?
