Bro-Broach

December 31st, 2009 @ 5:29 pm by Ms Potato Chips

I gotta admit, I just can’t get it up for cuff links. They’re one of those things I just don’t get. They hold shirt cuffs together? Isn’t that what buttons do? Mr. Potato Head had to explain that they’re like shirt jewelry, in lieu of buttons. Ohhh like a broach! A BRO-broach! So to jazz up Mr. PH’s yet-to-be-determined wedding day ensemble, I gifted him with his very first pair for Christmas/anniversary/engagiversary (you like how I lump those all together?).

They’re made by a company called Cuff Daddy, which is awesome. And they were a steal! Despite the low low price, they look really swank in person. Mr. PH loved them. We think they’ll really class up his look!

Will your guy don special bro-jewelry at your wedding?

Nice bro-broach! And Cuff Daddy makes me laugh, and makes me picture a GoDaddy commercial, but about cuff links. I think we’ll consider cuff links when we get Mr. GP’s suit.

My fiancé is OBSESSED with cuff links. I also did not get it, but I love the term bro-broach! I’m trying to find him some sweet bro-broaches for the wedding, but he has rejected every idea I’ve had.. including Storm Trooper ones, which are perfect for him and his Star Wars obsession! I’ll have to check out Cuff Daddy though.

@Miss Britt: I couldn’t agree more with your statement “PChips, that is the single best first line of a blog I have ever read.” Ditto to the max! PChips, you’re awesome!

Interestin post but I must disagree. Yes cufflinks do what buttons will also do. However a cufflink is so much more. You can express your personality and they also bring a dressy finish to an otherwise plain shirt.
