Happy 2010, friends!! Wowee, the future is amazing! Hover-boards as far as the eye can see!! It’s glorious here in 2010!

In addition to ringing in 2010, Mr. Potato Chips and I celebrated 7-1-5: our 7-year dating anniversary, our 1-year engagiversary, and our 5-month wedding countdown!

Just like last year, we headed down to Newport, RI.

Just like last year, the falling snow and New Year’s traffic turned a 2-hour road trip into a 3+ hour road trip.

Just like last year, we were cranky.

Unlike last year, I prepared with road-snacks.

Last year at midnight, Mr. Potato Head surprised me with a sapphire ring and a proposal.

This year, I drank champagne from bed while flipping through wedding magazines.

Last year’s New Year’s dinner was delivered in under 30 minutes:

This year’s NYE dinner was 4 courses, each with its own wine pairing.

Haha, hover-boards. I remember being a kid and you’d have the inevitable class activity of imagining what 2010 would look like, and we all thought that we’d be flying around with jet packs or other cool stuff…hmmmmm way off right? I’m glad you guys had fun on your holiday - congrats on your engage-iversary!

Congrats to you all! I had big ideas for a post like this, but then I also took part in some jello shots and my 2010 rang in with a wee bit of a hangover and the thought of typing was too hard. Maybe next year?
