A few weeks after we finished our engagement shoot our photographer, we started discussing our options for purchasing prints and albums. Jessica offers competitive pricing on gorgeous albums and large prints, and we decided to indulge in both.

We selected about 50 pictures (yes, 50! Our wedding album is going to take us years to get down to a reasonable number, I’m sure) to go into our 10 x 8 coffee table album, and gave Jess free reign with layout and image order.

The results are truly amazing. You’ll have to forgive my awful photography of her beautiful work. But I had to try to show you how wonderful our book is!

We had so much fun showing off our book over the holidays - our families loved it! We’re going to display it at the wedding along with family wedding photos and baby pictures, for sure. I should mention that Jess also offers an engagement picture guest book with room for signatures and messages from guests. It is a great option for some couples, but I have other things in mind for our guestbook (coming up soon!).

I know a lot of people DIY their albums on sites like Blurb, but did anyone else have their photographer take care of it?

I love your book! Our photographer doesn’t actually make books or albums since he offers the choice of finding the best printing rate, so we’ll be going with something from Mac or one of the other websites.

WOW I love this and Im jealous….now I want to have one and I want engagement pictures! I love the pictures of the guitar…does he sing to you and write you songs? So sweet! I write poems for my fiance from time to time.

I’m probably having my photog do our engagement album because I want to use it as a guestbook but won’t have time to put it together before the wedding… but the wedding album I will definitely do myself!

Beautiful album! Looks like your photographer used MPix.com (I recognize the box and ribbon from prints I’ve ordered from them). They do excellent work.

A guestbook is in our package, but we took it out (along with something else) in order to add in two 40 page albums for our parents. I think I might make a book out of ours via blurb or something else.

beautiful! and hey, if you have the great pictures, why not include as many as possible! for the engagement pictures, i will probably go the blurb/mypublisher route, but for the wedding photos, i’m going to leave that to the photographer.
