Over Christmas break, a very special package came to our house. Not from Santa, but from Momental Designs!
After months of emails back and forth, tweaking design elements here and there (a huge thank you to Kelley for her patience with me over the last 6 months!), the invitations were done and they were finally in our hands!
After digging through lots of Styrofoam peanuts, I displayed them on the dining room table and had a little photo shoot. These are heading out to our guests’ houses this week, but I couldn’t wait to show them off to the hive!
The whole lot:

The invitation inside the ensemble folder (sorry for the blurring
):

Close-up of the invite… you can see the hand-painted shimmer details!

Cover of the ensemble folder, complete with our favorite quote (by Robert Browning, but since he isn’t quoted on the sundial at Old Main and I wanted our guests to get the Penn State reference, I phrased it as you see below):
Our super wordy response cards:
The hand-painted illustration of the sundial at Old Main, complete with the same quote from the ensemble folder cover:
A photograph that I took of the actual sundial - I’d say it’s a pretty close match!:

Our whole invitation suite together:

I am very, very happy with our invitations. They ended up being a little bit of a splurge, but I would never have been able to create something this beautiful on my own.
Stay tuned to see our stamp choice, my DIY pseudo-calligraphy, and our invitation assembly line and cross-check process!
