‘Maids in Brass Knuckles

'Maids in Brass Knuckles : wedding bridesmaid gift Rings2 rings2

**

OK, maybe not brass knuckles, but amazing amazing amazing knuckle rings by Heistjewelry on Etsy.

I have bookmarked these lovelies not once, not twice, but SEVEN times on my computer. I have the images saved like 0238432 times. I have a super-secret (or not-so-secret) crush on these knuckle rings, and then it went into overdrive when I saw them on the pictured set of bridesmaids circulating the wedding-blogosphere.

'Maids in Brass Knuckles : wedding bridesmaid gift Rings1 rings1

I would love to have these made for my ladies, but I’ll be honest—I might be chicken. I would wear the heck out of these, but I don’t know how my bridesmaids would like ’em. Just because I’m off-the-wall doesn’t mean that I have to guilt them into being off-the-wall too.

“Oh thanks. Knuckle rings… with… my… name! Yay!”

This will probably stay a pipe-dream, as I’m sure they would prefer more grown-up jewelry if I’m shelling out $100 for a knuckle ring, but it’s still fun to think about. I might just buy one for myself, ’cause, well, what would be more awesome than me running around at the reception with not-so-brass knuckle-rings! Dare I say… nothing?

Have you fallen in love with certain items for your bridal party only to realize that they’re probably more YOUR style than theirs? Should I scour the ’net for a more gag-gift-price-point alternative version of these guys for the ladies, or just live my brass knuckle dream by myself at the wedding?

**Post title should be sung to the tune of “Nights in White Satin” by The Moody Blues. I’ve added the video for your viewing and listening pleasure.

OMG I don’t which I love more, the fact that the post title should be sung to the tune of “Nights in White Satin” or that those are knuckle ring with you name on them! I would never get away with wearing one, but I secretly (not-so-secretly) wish I could ;-)

Wow, those would make for some pretty awesome pictures.
But I think that’s more of a “present” for you than for your maids. Considering the BM’s also have to wear dresses (and sometimes shoes) not of their choosing, perhaps you should get them a gift you know they’d use again.

As I was reading this I immediately loved the idea, then thought just as you had that this was definitely my style more than theirs and they would probably never wear them regularly like I would. It’s hard to resist dressing your bridesmaids in your own style!

I love that picture! But I see what you’re saying… yes, maybe a cheaper version would be better just in case they don’t want to wear them after! :)

These are awesome, but I would definitely look for a less expensive version. If a bride gifted me this, I would see the humor in it and enjoy it, but not $100-worth. ;)

What if you came up with quirky names for the titles MOH and Bridesmaid and gave them all nicknames or something fun on the rings? For example, my sis was my MOH in my first wedding and in the programs, I put her in as the Babe of Honor. I’d love to wear a fun title or nickname on my hand!
