Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country

January 14th, 2010 @ 3:08 pm by Mrs. Peep Toe

Are you addicted to daily roasted coffee and adventure?

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet1 2Boquet

If so, head to the hills:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0110 2boquet01

To the beautiful town of Boquete, Pamana:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet021 2Boquet02

And to the Coffee Estate Inn, to be exact:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet031 2Boquet03

I don’t know where to start with this adventure because it was beyond what we could have ever imagined. I really can’t recommend the Coffee Estate Inn enough; Jane and Barry, the owners, have truly set up a mountain paradise. You arrive to fresh fruit, flowers, coffee and scones waiting for you in your room:

Here’s the view from the porch:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet041 2Boquet04

Where you can check out the ridiculous amount of all the flora and fauna on their property:

And I can’t begin to tell you about all the butterflies:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet051 2Boquet05

And all the exotic plants:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon Collage091 Collage09

Next, you explore the surrounding area by hiking near the volcano:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet071 2Boquet07

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet081 2Boquet08

To be surrounded by such greenery was amazing:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet091 2Boquet09

The best part was the beer and local ’Mexican’ fare waiting for us at the end:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0101 2Boquet010

After all that, you’d better rest up so you’ll be ready for your next adventure. Does Mr. Peep look worried here?

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0111 2Boquet011

I told him that we were safe since we had helmets, right?

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0121 2Boquet012

But really, how could he be nervous with views like these:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0131 2Boquet013

After a quick hike:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0141 2Boquet014

Our zip line adventure began:

Yep, that’s me in the pic above.

And if you really want to get a feel for our honeymoon adventure:

Does anyone know what he’s saying at the end? Who knows. Hopefully it is PG rated, but I can’t be sure.

Despite Mr. Peeps’ misgivings, we both survived; here he is accepting a certificate of completion to prove it:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0161 2Boquet016

Truly, a beautiful adventure:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0171 2Boquet017

We followed that adventure with only the BEST ’date night’ EVER. The owners come and set the table in your room with fresh flowers from the garden just for you, and they cook you up one ridiculously good meal (sigh, I wish I was there right now):

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0181 2Boquet018

And if you are lucky you get some coffee liquor that has been made on site:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon 2boquet0191 2Boquet019

Don’t forget to ask for them to set up in-room massages.

And to have Barry take you on a tour of their ’gentleman’s’ coffee farm.

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon Honeymo0571 Honeymo057

Where you get to watch the beans roast:

Pamana Adventure: Coffee Country : wedding honeymoon Collage0101 Collage010

And at the end they package up the coffee for you to take with you.

But don’t fret, you too could have your own piece of paradise:

Next up, we head off to a Caribbean adventure.

How adventurous were you on your honeymoon?

@Miss Snow: We flew from Panama City to David- and then drive about about 1.5 hours to Boquete. It was really easy. Panama has awesome roads. And then we drove back to David- and flew to Bocas (up next) then flew back to Panama City. The flights were super cheap- like 30 to 60 bucks each.
