About Ms Potato Chips

Yays, Hoorays, and Happy Days

January 18th, 2010 @ 5:54 pm by Ms Potato Chips

For a sweet send-off from the church, I’d love to hand out some cheery flags. What better sentiment is there?

This would be a charming photo-op, or a cute backdrop for a cake/guestbook/favor table.

I’d love to somehow construct this simple sign for outside our little church. I may end up seeing the inside of a craft store yet!

Are you constructing any signs or flags? They’re not too hard to make, right? Right??

Those are too sweet! I love the yay flags!

I’ve made paper flags before, and they weren’t so bad! The only bad parts where when I did tiny ones and kept stabbing myself with the toothpicks. :p

I just finished the flags last night for my yay flags and need to add the letters. After I was done though I took a look at myself and wanted to know why I was spending so much time just for a picture opportunity. Ha ha However, my family would agree the flag is a “me” thing. I should’ve bought the flags off of Oriental Trading but it’s also “me” to spend more money on a project DIYing it than it would’ve to just buy it.

I love the “oh happy day” sign. I might have to incorporate that too. Darn it. Someone please get me off Weddingbee!

Love the “Oh Happy Day” sign! I once had to make 150 tiny paper flags for a production I was on. Never again. But we might be doing some Wedding sign goodness to hang off the arbour leading to the reception venue.

I love the Yay flags! I hadn’t thought about doing them for your ceremony exit but it’s a great idea.

I love little flags but I don’t think I’ll be making them…maybe for a bridal shower.

I’m planning on doing something similar for our entrance into the reception since guests will be lined up on all sides. Instead of “yay”, I think I’m going to make mini-W flags as a nod to my new last name and our favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs :)
Orientral trading sells mini-natural flags and you could iron on any words/letters!

… I hadn’t even thought about signs. Shoot. We’ll need a few signs directing them towards the wedding cause our venue is a little far out and I’m afraid people will pass it.

They look like they shouldn’t be too hard… hopefully. :) That’s what I say about EVERY craft I do, though, and I’m usually wrong!

I think they’ll be cute, and *should* be pretty easy to get done. Good luck!

The flags are definitely assembly line/craft sweatshop material!
