Just Call Me Goldishoes

February 4th, 2010 @ 10:19 am by Mrs. Ribbons

After receiving all three pairs of shoes, I did the comparison tests.

The Ninas, ordered at a half size smaller than I wear, fell off as soon I took a step.

The Martinez Valeros had a funny fit.

And then there was the Pelle Moda slide.

For being a knock-off, the satin felt nice. There was no pinching, no rubbing. The height didn’t bother me either. I had found my shoes, that will be hidden beneath a giant skirt!

Did you play Goldilocks with any of your wedding accessories?

Those shoes are fabulous! I was Goldishoes too - some were too big, some were too small, some rubbed me the wrong way, some made my feet look strange. But I finally found 2 pairs that are “just right”

Those are so pretty. I got lucky. There were several ‘requirements’ for the shoes….not too tall of a heel, color, style, etc. Luckily, the first pair I ordered, fit, I liked the way they look, and the best part was…they were on sale! I saved several hundred dollars and they were my first choice. It wasn’t like I had to ’settle’. =)

Yay for finding your shoes!

I totally did! Most shoes in my normal shoes size had a huge gap in the back (looked two sizes too big!), then half size down sometimes was too small, sometimes still too big- but anything with a peep toe my toes would be sticking out at least a tiny bit. Then some a whole size down would fit in the heel, but my toes would be sticking out or cramped in (if not open toe)! Most of the time the right size or the half size lower would be falling off my feet- anything that didn’t have an ankle strap would be falling off- it was a nightmare. It took me eight months to find the right shoes- and go figure my normal size actually fit! What is with women’s sizing??? Seriously!

So pretty! I’ve only bought shoes in person, so I always get to try them on first, but that may change during my wedding shoe-hunt.
