They Do Exist!

They Do Exist! : wedding shoes Mythica mythica

{ source, source }

For the past month or so, I’d been having doubts about whether or not the Louboutin Love Flats in cork would ever materialize. I could find no evidence of their existence, no nothin’. I’ve been waiting for these puppies since November 8th, sight-unseen, and I began to feel like I was just a dumb bride who got the run-around. I was afraid I was wasting time waiting on shoes that would turn out to be a mythical beast.

Yesterday, much to my delight, I found out that THEY DO EXIST!

(This commercial keeps playing over in my head.)

As I was piddling around Google images, I figured I’d see if there was any buzz or new evidence of the shoes ever being released. Went a little something like this…

Piddle, piddle, piddle.

Ew, those are ugly.

Why is that a part of the results for “Louboutin Love Flats?!”

Nasty.

Piddle, piddle, piddle, HOLY SHIT.

ENHANCE!

The shoes. They’re real. And they’re AWESOME.

I spazzed out, called Neimans, and quadruple-confirmed that they do exist. My name is on the list, I have a pair coming in for me at the end of February, and I couldn’t be more excited and relieved. I know these probably aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, especially as a wedding shoe, but I think they’re perfect for me—a little kitschy, slightly too much, and fairly unexpected.

So what do you all think of my mythical-shoe-beast-come-true? Would you have given up months ago, or kept on hoping like I did? (Though I must admit, my hoping was at its breaking point.)

Those are. to. die. for.

If I didn’t have a no-designer-flats-new rule (only heels!) I’d snatch ‘em up!

Good things come to those who wait, my friend. I kept the hope alive in my search for the perfect cowboy boots (I know, weird, but I’m a western girl at heart.) Mine materialized in the form of a Christmas gift - my godmother gave me her vintage boots from the 60’s, and they are utterly perfect, just the right amount of rustic brown leather combined with two-tone ivory that matches my dress perfectly. So glad you found what you were looking for!

I love them. For realz. Dang, they are so cool. I actually like them better than the black ones (and I’m a huge advocate of black wedding shoes). Girl, I love your style.

After seeing your original post on these shoes, way back when, they have been my obsession! I’m so excited that you’ve finally got to see pictures of them in cork, and the end of February will be here before you know it!!!
Also, before I saw that you had posted the video I immediately thought of the M&M’s when you said THEY DO EXIST!

*WARNING*
…as a louboutin lover, i must warn you - their sizing is ALL OVER THE PLACE!! If i were you, and if i had the room on a credit card… i would order an extra 2 in a size up and a size down.

Here’s why:
I have 4 pairs of Loubies (all are authentic from Neimans and from the Louboutin boutique in NYC). I normally wear a 6.5. The 4 pairs of Christian Louboutins i have are in sizes 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5 - WTF!?! Yes, beware - they are known for having no sense in their sizing… or so my Neiman’s saleslady says :) LOL

Anyway, they are ADORABLE!! Enjoy <3

Ps. Neiman’s will let you return the ones that don’t fit so long as you don’t wear them out…

@Miss Trail Mix: I know, they’re my shoe-destiny. lol.
@farmersdaughter: Those sound so perfect! I really am glad I didn’t jump the gun.
@Mrs. Mouse: Skanx, ma’am. :)
@GatorKate: Great minds think alike, right?
@pvaulter718: I thought Mr. Scissors was going to die when I sent him that picture. Mucho laughing.
@Mrs. Star: I do remember. :) I’m glad I’m not alone in my determination!
@Miss Guinea Pig: If they’re like the other Loub flats I’ve had, they will be. And you know I’ll ho them out with tons of pictures. :p
@andrea: At least they’re amazing. I doubt they’ll be particularly lightweight, as it’s constructed like a normal Loub flat– you can see the lining in the picture. Whatevs.
@An Huynh:Thanks! I know, they do such crazy things. I have several pairs and they range from 39.5-41.5. I tried on the exact shoe in a different color, so it’s ordered for me in that size. As far as returns, well, of course. :p
@tea: Me eiiitherrr.
