That honestly was my reaction the second I opened Mrs. Penguin’s email. I take that back. That was the second reaction I had. After opening the email, I had to read through it three or four times because I could not believe my eyes. I wanted to tell the whole world (and my office), but I knew that wasn’t going to happen. I work in an office of 15, where 11 are guys, so shrieking in the office was out of the question. Instead, I spent about 20 minutes shaking at my desk, my heart thumping at how excited I was!
I could not be more thrilled and honored to be the newest Bee! I have been reading the ‘bee for over a year and was introduced to the site by an old friend of mine. I never thought that one day I would actually “bee” a bee!
Now for the juicy details.

I’m a true St. Louisan at heart –
a Cardinals baseball fan, lover of gooey butter cake (you must try if you haven’t) and advocate for toasted ravioli (I swear I like more things that just food). I work for a web development firm as a project coordinator – a job I never thought I’d fall into and am lucky to have!
Mr. Argyle is from Springfield, IL and lived there his entire life until moving to St. Louis for college. We met our senior year thanks to wonderful friends (who happen to be our Maid of Honor and Best Man). He spends his days teaching college students how to fly (literally) at the university where we met.

So, why Miss Argyle? I love argyle. I more than love argyle. In fact, I was wearing an argyle sweater the day I found out I was going to be a bee (no joke). Plus, our groomsmen will be wearing orange argyle socks on our wedding day. AND, I have every intention of name our next dog Argyle (just ask the Mr.).
We’ve been planning our wedding to be a modern and fun celebration of love, friends and family. While, I’ve done most of the planning, Mr. Argyle has graciously offered his opinions and feedback, and being a good sport about all the wedding gushing done in the last year. Although we’re doing minimal DIY projects, we are coming up with out of the box ideas to make our day special and memorable.
