To imagine our honeymoon research, refer to Miss Snow’s honeymoon hilarity. Because we did the exact same thing. I’m talking verbatim. But we were probably watching CNN instead. Just kidding, it was Family Guy reruns because Mr. Potato Head refused to watch Teen Mom with me.
Our honeymoon talk went on for a long time. A LONG time. We ran the gamut from pre-engagement lala-landish: “We’ll take a whole magical month!!! Nothing but the finest!!” To post-engagement, “We can’t afford this! We should wait a year.” We considered Aruba, Jamaica, Mexico, Saint John, Saint Lucia, mini-moonin’, cruises… Genovia, Costa Luna… ay yi yi!
In the end we decided that we wanted the tropical beach honeymoon, darn it, and we wanted it right after the wedding. Even if that meant certain sacrifices on our parts: namely, turning down weekend trips with friends and putting in extra hours at work to save up. Come June, the Potato Chips will take their first real beach vacay to The Majestic Elegance in sunny Punta Cana. And it will be magical!

That looks so pretty, I know i hate waiting for trips too we are taking a pre-moon of sorts this summer and I have a countdown on the computer and just thinking of it makes me want to jump up and down!

We’re taking our honeymoon in May 2011, probably. We don’t have time right after the wedding cause, well, we have to move…
oooo that place looks lovely!! we ended up deciding on Sandals in St. Lucia but looked into places in Punta Cana, we had friends who went to the Excellence resort there. my ONLY complaint was that Punta Cana faces east, as did alot of great places we found, and I have to have those sunsets over the water that we can watch from our room or the beach. that was a requirement 
but this place looks great, I’ll have to add it to my “must visit someday” list!
Ooh, gorgeous. We’re honeymooning in Australia for 2 weeks. 8 days on our own and then 4 days in the city of my childhood holidays - where we’ll get to see my grandmother, who probably won’t make it to the wedding.
Can you make payments on your vacation through all inclusive outlet?

@Emily: Not really, but you can choose to put down a deposit (roughly half) and then pay the balance a month or so before the trip.

My Sister just had her honeymoon in Punta Cana at an all inclusive, they loved it!
I love that all inclusive website. It makes me feel like we could possibly finance the honeymoon with honeyfund. I don’t know when a good time will be to go, but I feel like we deserve a real vacation. Usually we just go to Vegas for a couple days each year. Three years ago we drove around the Western United States for two weeks and that was awesome but not very honeymoon-esque.
